I'm not a pro but one difference i do know between the ball bearing and non ball bearing is that the ball bearing turbo can hit full boost a little faster than a non ball bearing turbo.

because they are ball-bearing, they are also considered to hold more boost, or so I have read... since they spool faster you will have better (or lower) et's and a little wider powerband, or more usable power since you get full spool earlier... am I being really repetitive??
