Spearco Water Injection System Install and Review

that's what I was going to address with you. As far as I've seen the only hassle to installing the WIS is the nozzle.
Especially for Supercharger guys. Let me know what you come up with...good luck with it, you'll definitely enjoy it once it's on.

that shouldn't be a problem. I placed my nozzle just after the BOV at a bend also.
UPDATE: make sure you tighten down the filter nuts quite a bit harder than just hand tight. I checked today and I was leaking from both ends. I tightened them down a little bit more with a 15mm open wrench and no leaking now. Just don't go to hard or you will pinch off the hose and water won't get to the pump.

yes I do. Dyno results will be next week. Keep in mind that the power you get from adding water injection mostly comes from the ability to advance timing. Water injection cools intake temps which help a little and it gives you a boost in octane which will also add a little but most of the power comes from the tune.

just wanted to update those who cared how long a tank of water last. I've been driving it daily on my usual routine for the last 7 days.
50 miles roundtrip commute to work
Typical Grocery getter runs
I've been through a tank of gas and the I've used less than a quarter of the tank!
I'm not always boosting it so of course your results will vary but I can safely say that conservative driving will get you over 3 weeks and aggressive driving will give you a little over a week.
Dyno results still to come

you keep it in boost while some fun driving and u will see how fast it gets sucked up - its pretty strait foward ...if you dont have a few bucks extra to spend ....this isnt for you. but really ....its a few bucks of fluid. with the cost of gas ....its pennies. Methanol is nice in keeping #'s more consistant.

I personally think that a 1/2 gallon is a good size ..... using the windshield container and tapping off that is the best bet because thats a gallon.

There are still benefits to having water injection. Octane rating goes up and the atomized water "steam cleans" your cylinder chambers.
As far as water tank size goes, if you've got a gallon tank then you might as well use it I say. No need to risk running out. Don't forget that the spearco pump pushes out a whole liter per minute under max duty cycle. On a road race like Willow Springs that would be one lap and you would be out with only a half gallon (2 liters)!

You can has the WIS start spraying early but at a low duty cycle which is still effectively raising octane levels, then start getting more aggressive with the timing as the duty cycle increases. You can have the pump max out at you higher boost levels on a drag race because well, you only need it for 12-13seconds.
As long as you are not dumping 80% duty cycle @ 2psi you'll be fine for the strip. Road course is a different story...
