There are higher cfm MAS' available but the problem is that they each have their own unique voltage curve to MAF. Some don't even use a 0-5V DC signal to convey MAF. You can't reprogram the ECU for a different MAS which means you'll have to use a programmable signal modifier of some manner to tune the new MAS to match what the ECU is programmed to see. Most piggys can do this (sort of). Maybe something like the Map2ECU might work better than the FIC. I wish I could say but I've never used the Map2ECU piggy. The Greddy EMU seems like a pretty good choice if you add the AFR sensor modifier it lacks (SS Enricher). FWIW, the Map2ECU offers an AFR sensor signal modifer as an option.

Anyway, there are a lot of ways to skin this cat but IMO you're off ot a good start with the 66mm blow-thru MAS and 7psi. Had you used 2.5" tube (60mm ID) you'd be screwed, IMO. I just wanted to caution you that 7psi could be the limit for your planned tune. I logged my MAS signal using the FIC but without one you may want to tap a voltage meter (DMM) to your MAS to monitor the voltage signal at peak airflow. It would be great if you could datalog or otherwise record it.

FWIW, based on my own measurements I expect your MAS signal to peak around 4.75V @ 7psi which should leave a little headroom. You can always add piggyback EM later if needed. Best of luck to you.

Very cute GF btw!
Thanks again man!

You're welcome. I found that MAS info I was looking for:

"According to TIS, on a tC
It will read 271 g/s of air, have a min voltage of .2V and a max of 4.9V"

You can convert 271 g/s into cfm at a given air temp and then calculate approx how much HP you could make with the oem MAS by estimating your VE. I did this before but forgot the formulas. I just googled all the info.

EDIT: I was curious so I looked into this again. One cubic foot of air weighs 0.075lbs @ MSL and 70F. 0.075lbs = 34 grams. 271/34 = 7.97 cfs * 60 = 478cfm. According to this calculator 478cfm = 315bhp. At 32F IAT the MAS can read 450cfm and at 100F it can read 500cfm. This isn't very precise but it does appear that the oem TC MAS should be capable of metering enough MAF for 300bhp.

*Note: Placing the MAS in a tube smaller then 2.5"ID will lower it's MAF capacity and a larger ID tube will increase it.

Its 4" thick! Looks like its going to mount just fine without any cutting of the front bumper.

im not downing the idea just asking. I love the idea of a 4" thick ic. I just remember mine just barley fit with those tabs, looks like his ic is dropped even lower than mine.

chris i think you need to look at that picture his IC pipe sits above that protective bumper and ours sits flush or below it depending on what our kit was in the mood for

I got it on eBay I can try and find the company - it was like $100 shipped - The welds are actually great quality.

Based on you pics it look like both our IC are at the same level or so....The tabs underneath I cut off and not using those so IDK if they would have fit or not.

When I bought it they actually had a license agreement to copy the NRG quick disconnect listed on the site. So its the same exact as the NRG.
