I'm not stock??? I never modified anything in my engine... I only changed my clutch to stage 4, installed an STS with linkage and riser bushings, re-did my airbox plumbing and added a TRD filter.

I know mods in racing mean something major modified/upgraded inside the engine or replacing major parts like exhaust, or adding F.I.. I don't think the clutch, airbox, and shifter are major parts to be called "mods"... (No one would ever notice them anyway.)

So I call my tC a stock OE tC...

OK, first off, don't go FI based on not wanting to put in a clutch. With whatever kit you get, you can put a smaller WG spring in and get lower power for now. I have the Turbo Toyotas kit which should put out over 400hp, and I'm only putting down 250 for now. Oh, and if I launch hard, my clutch slipps. Now, for normal driving, the stock clutch is fine, but any hard launches let's it loose.

And one more thing, no offence to jwags, or any other SC, but my guess would be 230hp on a supercharger would not slip nearly as much as a turbo putting 230, since the SC is linear and doesn't hit max HP till red line, and the turbo will come on sooner and alot more sudden.

My boy Rich, dynoed 238whp on his S/C'er setup. Likes to beat up on the ricers a lot around town. He had to replace his clutch due to slippage. I would recommend a stronger clutch despite the way the S/C'er delivers it's power.

I wish I was running my old 9.5lb pulley - ANyway - upgrading your clutch when you have the time is easier then getting it done when the clutch is messed up - You can do the clutch and flywheel or clutch flywheel and lsd - they are all things that can be grouped together.

Thanks meaty... so once again i will be okay. This thread is getting long lol.

About the wastegate spring ... that would be perfect. I think i may go with treadstone now but if i go with dezod i would like to get a 5lbs maybe 7lbs spring... where would i get this at?? 7 psi would put me right where i want to be i think.

Thanks again.... ill post up another thread when i max out ye old credit card. Hopefully before xmas.

It sounds like yoru looking for something smaller, and the TT kit might be more then you need.
I'd recomend calling dezod and saying what you want. then asking if they can put a smaller spring in the wastegate of fteh kit you buy from them. they shoudl be able to do taht for you.
Then, you can iether purchase a larger spring for later, or just get a boost controller and put it up to whatever you want.

An engine would have to be retested to obtain a rating in another system. The term "brake" refers to the original use of a band brake to measure torque during the test (which is multiplied by the engine RPM and a scaling constant to give horsepower).
hm.

i always heard it refered to as base horsepower hahaha
