stock clutch should hold around 250whp.. with around same tq... but you are pushing it already...it would wear alot faster cause of the stock rating , is suppose to last the life of the car.. with out abuse... or mods...

Is the stocker really designed to last 100k+ miles? I was not aware of that, but if its the case, thats cool.

Any clutch should last 100k or more if it is used in its proper application. If you start dumping more power, racing or driving it badly then it will of course die early, but any decent stock clutch should last 100k or more easilly

Back in 02, I got an 89 civic with 160k miles on it and the stock clutch. It had i/h/e on for most of that too. Once I inherited it though, the clutch died after about 10k miles haha.

guys, first of all clutches arent rated on how much HP you make...its TQ that will determine when a clutch will fail...the stock clutch will definitely start to slip once you hit that 250 ft/lbs tq...My stock clutch would slip slightly even at 200 ft lbs after a few hard runs

Everything past the rods are affected by torque when you are talking about damage or lifespan. Torque is the only force an engine creates. HP is a calculation of how that tq is applied over time. So it is correct that tq is what damages the clutch. The pistons and rods are subjected to compressive and tension forces due to the combustion process, which is then converted to tq at the crank.
