Ah! But the real question is:

Did anybody get their car re-tuned AFTER the ECU reflash. I am sure that the reflash retarted some things in order to maintain effeciency. So I would assume that a re-tune would have a positive gain of quite a bit.

sorry to branch off slightly; but has anyone else either got the updated reflash; or at least have their dealers know about it? I read the posts here today, and checked with both my area dealers..... and neither has any info on it. I wasn't sure if it was a regional thing, or something for specific model year, or....
thx
btw, our dyno was 191, with trd exhaust, 110, and bad plugs...

Don't forget about the torque increase, too.

I had to call TRD and ask about this. The rep there told me that there isn't a new reflash for 05-06 tC's. The difference is that the 07-08 tC's have a flashable ECU that is done without the module that came with the 05-06 superchargers.
I don't know if this is correct, but this is what I was told.

the story i got was that something or other had come up with people actually using them in real conditions and TRD had to adjust some stuff.

"Update ECU Calibration Available EG4004 0.80 Recalibrated ECU"

it may be an issue or area related basis, every car in every point on the globe isn't gonna run exactly the same as each other, specs are tighter to run boost safely.
