Street Tuning

You guys ROCK!
i called aen at 8 and he was at his girl's house, so no more tuning tonight. But his CEL came on.
Now all we need is for one of you guys to pick up the AEM F/IC and see if it's any different tuning wise then the other piggybacks out there.
By the way, I think the mods should sticky this thread in the Tech section

i found out why my CEL came on!
it's because the wires of the O2 sensor that i extended was touching hte downpipe and melted it cutting the signal. lol
i will redo it tomorrow morning. other than that
i got the map to read 11.5 AFR while idle and 14.soemthing while boosting
but after a while it switched the AFR's to 13 while idle and something else while boosting.

my manifold and turbo aren't creating a seal therefore i have an exhaust leak, would that have adverse affects to my tuning or AFR's?

Hey I did not read this entire thread and I do not know how much more help you really need but here is a really good link. It is based on tuning Toyota Trucks which are not really that much different from our cars.

I hope this helps a little. I recommend reading the entire thing.

Tune it well and you would be getting good #s.
I'm returning 281 (285 PS) Flywheel HP and 292 lb/ft (396 NM) Torque @ 11psi (0.75BAR) after tuning. This is with the 16g compressor unit. Stock internals here.
The 16g starts to get out of breath after 75mph. This is not particularly helpful if you need to kill off the EVOs and REXs in a head on clash. You maybe just on par.
I am saving up now for Todd's GT28RS or GT30R setup with EL manifold This should do it. More volume flow at the top after 70mph and less back pressure at exhaust side... Yes, the achilles heel for them 4WDs.
One saving grace we have is that we are FWD, unlike the 4WDs above. They have a greater drivetrain loss as compared. Sure, we maybe slower from a dig, but when you are on the highway and rollin' 45-55mph, you can effectively slingshot from half a car behind them and they couldn't do squat to catch up with us
If ego was roadkill, your grill would be well decorated

i have so far only done a little bit of tuning but ended it there because of my exhaust leak
just as an update
i have a question though. what are the symptoms that your car is going to hell because of what you put it through?

ok. ok. so i've been tuning it and having fun with it. my exhaust still leaks but barely, not as much as it used to yay.
ok. so 1 & 2 = perfect, i hit boost. hold it and pull like no other.
3rd - i pull like crazy...until i get to higher rpm's like past 6000 my afr's drop to 10.0, meaning that it is actually lower than hte meter reads and my car stutters
4th - i pull good too, cept this time at 5000 the stutters are more prominent and afr's drop to 10.0 faster than 3rd
5th - same thing as fourth, except i'm expecting the afr to be even lower than 4th because if i try to hold it it actually shuts the car off.
what should i be doing? i'm not quite sure.

there was one point when I just gave up, I didn't understand very much of this but going to uti has taught me some crazy information about fuel trims timing and whatnot, I'll I back to this and pos updates to egeryhing thanks for bringing this back up
