Stupid question for all running turbos/superchargers
I know it really doesn't matter, but I read an article about the trd supercharged tc in road and track and noticed the gas milage ratings and how much they changed stock 22/29, trd 18/25. Can anyone tell me what type of gas mileage they are making with the turbo kits or superchargers. I would think that it would have changed that much with the trd.

im just going to answer for the sake of answering
the first few tanks of gas, youre going to notice that the gas mileage is significantly worse, since the ECU will still be learning the A/F ratios and what not. After the first few tanks, and taking it easy on the throttle, youll notice that the miles/gallon dont suffer too much since you arent making a lot of boost low in the RPM zone

we are averaging around 26 right now; about a couple months since we had the sc installed. Most of our driving is on the freeway; some stop & go; and of course letting her rip when the snow's not falling. For us about a 3 mpg drop, but that also includes more warm up time in the cold. Overall we've been satisfied with it--any of the cars i drove in the old days that could run 13's & 14's in the 1/4 could only dream of getting over 20 mpg. Hope that helps.
