Default Subaru turbo on a tC?

I was wondering if anyone has every tried or thought about doing this but a friend of mine gave me his stock turbo of off his wrx and was having a couple of ideas if maybe it would fit my tC? if anyone can help me out with this as what I would have to do to make it work let me know I am really hoping this could work, thanks!

Their stock turbos are very small, and it wouldnt even be worth it in my mind to fab up a manifold for it to fit our car. The down pipe is especially difficult to reproduce because of the bellmouth. Jut get a 18g or gt28 and use proven parts that work on our car. but hey, if you want a challenge, more power to you.

It would work. Not efficiently, but it would work.

it would make a difference if you could get it to fit. they are small turbos though, but the boost the engine output from like what? 175 bhp to what year wrx is it? on the legacy the engine makes 250 bhp, but i don't know if that is the same turbo.

but if you look for a manifold and downpipe, you would need parts that fit IHI turbos.

Anything will work with the right tools an parts and money!! But it will be a waste of time. Those turbos are smaller then a 16g lol. I think

you can always sell it on ebay to raise money for a tc turbokit. there gotta be WRX owners with a blown turbo who needs a cheap replacement.

And if its a newer WRX that you got it off of, it is a bigger turbo, so its an upgrade to all the pre 08 model wrx's.

it will fit but you will need to boost higher prolly 14psi and put like 250bhp like factory subbies.. factory power, yucks lol but yeah save for a bigger and better setup. That turbo is like smaller than your fist lol.. oh nice paint
