Supercharger Install...tomorrow

I did purchase the replacement drive shaft from Gompka, I need to get that in with the new bearings and a grease fitting too.
I do have a full exhaust setup... including raspy header which coryjames hates... it's only bad when it's not fully warmed up and only in 1st/2nd gear. I won't mention the fact that coryjames sounds like it wants to explode, so you really can't hear his exhaust... it's all engine.

My second gear synchro refused to let me up shift or down shift into gear. Being that it was still under warranty they just replaced the whole tranny. In order to replace the tranny they needed to take off and reinstall my 1st gen. S/c. 1 week later the bearing on the pulley side died. They replaced the s/c with the 2nd gen (redesigned shaft). I was feeling good about it thinking maybe TRD worked out the plethera of problems with the first gen. Bout 8 monthes later i get a cel. It was a p0420. My pre cat was plugged and destroyed. This was then replaced under warranty. 1 week later my car starts making a ridiculous knocking noise under acceleration. Power feels weaker and im burning a little over a quart a week in oil. I take it in to have the cylinders scoped. They find excessive cylinder wall scoring in cylinders 2 & 3. The knoicking noise was identified as piston slap (piston rings wore out causing pistons to wobble through there cycles). 6 monthes later (present) my beloved and thought to be bulletproof 2nd gen s/c blows its pulley side bearings. I
Officially gave up. The moral of the story, before boost the car never had an issue. Post boost, the car fell apart.
Its really depressing, i truly loved my sleepercharger. I was the only boosted scion in my entire area. Now im just another NA tc with all show and no go. I really wish TRD coulda made a stronger product but now im just left with a real sour taste in my mouth about the whole scion brand.

Oh ok so u got a full exhaust. Then that explains ur current dyno numbers at ur alltitude. Thats just about right. Sadly my car only made 180whp and 165wtq at sea level on a recently calibrated Dynodynamics with the 7 pound pulley @7.6psi courtesy of the APR R1 diverter valve, bone stock intake and exhaust . Then again it was raining with 95% realitive humidity and a outside temp of 80 degrees so im sure that killed my numbers.

Ill have to agree. Im used to isht like this, im the definition of poor luck. Funny that i waited 4 monthes for my brand new 06 tc in the summer of 05. I figured what ever problems they had with the 05 (if any) would be fixed with the 06. Passed up a fresh 05 RS 1.0 cuz of this idea. But instead i go burned. Car had bout 55 miles on it when upon close inspection i noticed the entire passenger side was repainted b4 delivery....... Ive had just an absurd scion experience.

I made a thread on ere a while back explaining what happened but just to sum it all up:

Well I bought eManage blue and after hearing about the woes people have with it.. I'm ditching it.. I am seriously considering Unichip. I'll really need to get it once I'm W/A intercooled.

Well after 2 upgrades I am now at this (with added boost line to the chart)
- 65mm pulley from NST
- Forge Splitter in BPV mode
Versus what it used to be (we forgot the boost line that dyno)
Being at 5280ft, I was running at maybe 6psi in the morning when it is still cool outside. With the upgraded pulley which NST claims runs at 9.5psi (at sealevel of course), the tC now has the air it is looking for with the reflash build on the ECU. Plus having a hardcore BPV helps keep that boost stable throughout the band vs the stock piece of plastic that didn't like to hold much of anything.
Thank you Carz Performance, Lakewood, CO!

Not bad for being a mile high. Id figure ur probably have about 220-225 at sea level.
I rebuilt my SC with the NTN bearings. I have since realized i hate being without boost and im gonna reinstall it soon. Never really got to enjoy that 9.5 pulley with the the new exhaust setup.

I thought the best s/c tC was 311hp?

I feel like you have to go with FI at the altitude we live at but i personally plan to turbo over supercharge. Really though Nitrous is the way to go at this altitude because you create your own little combustion atmosphere. Sounds like you have a nice set up though man i'd love to check it out. Don't complain about 5800 feet. I live at 8500 feet in Woodland Park (20 min west of Colo Springs). If you're ever in the springs hit me up.
