200 in the ideal world. of course thats at redline. and torque under 200. its a well balanced setup, but i know you guys like power, and i dont think its that "powerful" to go s/c.

so..... im not 100% on this (ill confirm after putting a boost gauge to it) but uhh.... i think it was the bpv. the one thing i swore couldnt be it.

it took me a minute to swap the 110 for the stock one. drove the car full throttle. when the boost actually does hit, i think the car is faster. again, will confirm later.

i feel so stupid, but at the same time if this fixes it, i dont care. im happy.

yeah...I can't wait to ride in your car...I'm sure if it gets tuned, the f/ic will add more power.

If you ever come by, I'll let you drive my car and you can compare...mine does not spool as fast as the smaller log style kits, but it spools faster then aen's monster turbo setup!

as luck would have it, my friend who i borrow the boost gauge from.. .locked his keys in his car and the gauge is in there.

so i dont really know what its doing yet. haha

anyway assuming its 7lbs, im going to go ahead and either order another 110 or the forge 007. the 007 is twice as much but it'll hold much better apparently...

saturday phil!

well, checked the boost this morning, and its still at 5psi. checked it again with phil and it.... was interesting. still not where its supposed to be but hey, it was information.

and that turbo is fast. haha :D

too bad SOMEONE moved out of the state... then id have to check that turbo setup out too.

next thing to check is.... throttle body butterfly valve. thats the only other thing that can potentially hold back pressure. between the s/c and the engine, theres only a charge pipe, bypass valve, and the throttle body. so...

yeah...sorry we weren't able to figure anything else out...but I like the way your car rides...very smooth. Can't wait till you get your issues fixed and it's pushing 240 so linear.

i cant wait either! thanks for all the help again man

just checked the throttle plate to make sure it was opening all the way. and indeed it was. ill be at the dealership AGAIN tuesday...

im pretty much done working on it. no more. i just want to enjoy my car again. i will get scion to fix whatever it is, because this is ridiculous, and i paid for something, and i should get what i paid for without this much struggle.

i truly appreciate what everyone's helped me out with. seriously.

well, heres the news.

scion, trd, and the dealership all pretty much say "its fine." i said i know, because ive torn it apart and put it back together, but theres still a problem.

i dont remember 5psi, 166-174whp being fine for a 7psi supercharger.

here was the popular line: "well, we say UP TO 200hp, 7psi. we never claim it will make that much." so using that line, they are pretty much going to ignore it. so basically, its a $1900 gamble that is "backed" by TRD.

i was also told by a guy at trd that he'd hardly heard of anyone being unhappy with the supercharger and was surprised to hear from me.

All the more reason to keep complaining to them, honestly. If it's so unusual, then you'd think something would definitely be done, right?

After all your experiences, I'm really reconsidering doing any forced induction. Ever. :[
