perhaps all this depends on the wastegate? does the wastegate operate on absolute pressure?

at the very least not as bad as a supercharger's loss!
ill be watching the boost levels as it gets colder out here... i figure that's more feasible than watching for altitude changes... :D

i sure hope so! but id hate to only race people on the basis of the time of the year... :D
wait... thats going to suck to have to get a tune on. how do i get a tune on such different numbers? unless its not really that much and it'll be fine?

I'm a little late here, but colder air will make more power no matter what type of FI or NA you are running because the air is denser so there is more for the fuel to mix with...which is why we benefit from an intercooler.
At higher altitudes, the air is thiner so you make less power...not only that but atmospheric pressure is lower at higher altitudes so even if you make the same power, you don't reach the same amount of boost, so you make less power.
The guys in colorado always complain about how they woudl make much more power in california.

so are conditions in arizona better or worse than here? i think you mentioned it before.
