supercharger owners!
supercharger owners, how much did you pay for the dealer to install it? one of the dealers here quoted me 1200 for install, they also said that it would take a day. this doesnt sound right. please let me know what you pay for yours.

i paid...
i paid $750 for dealer install. Usually the cost should be like $70-80 (hrly rate); the install is supposed to take like 6-8 hours. So. the quote you recieved from that particular dealer is HORRIBLE $1300 I would definitely call around, usually dealers with more experience installing superchargers that have TRD certified techs is the way to go because they have had plenty of experience and will take less time for them to do the install, thus charging you less hours.

Local dealer charged me $795. Seemed to be the going rate in the area, as I called several local dealers and they were all the same.
They had the car for two days. They said they could get it done in one but might need two. I told them to take two days as the last thing I wanted was the tech rushing through the install.

As long as you know that its a 6-8 hour job you can just ask around what a given shop's hourly rate is then go from there. Otherwise they might quote you $1200.00 . . . My local dealership installs all TRD parts for the Scion at $15 an hour. Cost me $120.00. Ask around, might get lucky.

don't just go on price alone. go with someone who has installed a few..even if on a tundra. you don't want this done by a shop that only does oil changes and warranty services.
oh, and a big fu to the guy with the uncle doing installs at $200!!
