You also may want to add a boost gauge and AFR.
my airbox has NEVER closed correctly. the clasp nearest to the motor never stays closed and always snaps off and nothing ever fixed it.
either it isn't that big of a deal or the front clasps and how stiff the hose is keeps it closed well enough.

Well I will tell you that it is a big deal. The TRD airbox is pressurized. If you are the type of guy that it doesnt matter if things are 100% how they are supposed to be, then your right - it doesnt matter.

However, when I paid near $4k for the kit when they first came out, and have a 10 year warranty - damn skippy I made toyota fix it.

If you start having small leaks here and there, I can tell you that your AFR's and fuel will be off. If you start letting things go, and dont stay on top of fixing things, than thats on you. If your car isnt under warranty, you can remove the clasps/drill holes through the edge plastic, and use zipties to secure the airbox. Atleast that sounds better than letting a hose keep your pressurized air box closed.

I'm not saying it should be flapping open, if there is a problem with your a/f then yes it should be fixed.
I keep an eye on the S/C all the time and make sure everything is running right.
When i was under warranty i did take it in more than once and nothing fixed it permanently.
I don't enjoy that it doesn't stay clasped, but nothing was wrong with how it is running.

I just got it back from changing my shaft and pulley bearings after 55kmi on the stock.
It was the same deal, nothing wrong with how its running, I could try yet another airbox if i wanted to try again.
which out of warranty is crazy how much the airbox is. If i find a good used one or i could try aftermarket i can, but I am still not getting any readings that it isn't running right.
