Default Supercharger PSI levels, whats normal?

Well I just installed a boost gauge finally on my TC. Getting ready to slap the 9.5 pulley on but want to know what is normal for the stock SC setup with boost levels.

I have read 7 PSI is the max boost with the stock pulley but after a day of driving under heavy driving the most I have seen is 5 PSI and MAYBE touching 6 PSI. Under normal driving 2-3.5 rpm I don't see my boost gauge go above 0. I am still learning what is normal when it comes to forced induction and want to know what I am seeing is normal or if I need to fix something before I put the small pulley on.

If I am maybe leaking somewhere, where should I look/test for leaks?

Any info would be appreciated.

Look for leaks in your exhaust, vac lines etc. Other than that, switch out your Bypass valve. The stock one sucks more than a cheap hoe.

^ the setup itself is fine. But we don't know if everything else on the car is fine. BPV sucks, belts might slip for some reason, there might be a leak somewhere etc etc. Switch out your BPV and I guarantee you'll see 7PSI RIGHT at redline as stated above.

And you're still not seeing 7 @ redline? You must have a leak somewhere then... you should see it for a second before you shift lol.

Yes forge comes with 2 springs, green and blue i believe. i was using the blue spring with 1 shim that they provide. Worked good to get me to almost 10lbs

Hmm I'll have to pull out the BVP and play with the springs then. Where else could I be leaking if I am leaking?

Ideal max is 7psi doesn't mean you will hit that. I was seeing about 5-6 psi stock and they said that was normal when i talked with trd.

I found the problem, my cap on my forge 007 had a small leak, needed a little more tightening. Guess you need to check those even when brand new. I swapped out to the blue spring with one spacer while I was at it. Took my car out and hit 7 PSI at high RPM. Pays having a boost gauge to check that.

sorry if this is discussed somewhere, but should our S/C be used with BPV as opposed to BOV's?

TBH im not too sure what the difference is.
