supercharger/turbo swap

supercharger/turbo swap
I currently have a 2006 Scion tC and I have the TRD Supercharger on it. The whole car is TRD. The car is just not fast enough for me. A little bit ago, my supercharger gave out so I went to toyota for a new one. At that point, I wanted to go the turbo route. Toyota told me that in order for me to turbo my car that it would cost 2,600 to get my car back to stock so that I can turbo it. The supercharger cost 2,600 so i went with the supercharger at the time. Does anyone know what I would need to get it back to stock so that I can turbo it? Is it even possible to turbo it with the Supercharger? I believe I can because the supercharger is the intake and the turbo is the exhaust so can I please get some opinions on what my options are. Thanks

Your options are to learn about what a supercharger and turbocharger actually are. Seriously, do some research because something tells me you lack the mechanical ability/knowledge to install/maintain this type of stuff.

They both pressurize the intake air but one is exhaust driven and one is belt driven but thats about where the similarities end.
Have you tried a smaller supercharger pulley? Less restrictive exhaust? Something to increase what you already have

Well I was thinking about the pulley but I heard that the TRD exhaust is tuned for the supercharger. I was thinking about the hks hi power exhuast but thats just the rear axle so i was thinking of putting a tsudo mid pipe. I have read I need back pressure so I wasnt sure of getting a cat delete with headers. Does this sound good?

trd exhaust and most axle back exhaust are not tune for boost. They hardly increase any power.
You really need to do your research. I paid $1500 for Ptuning to take the SC off. $1000 was for parts. ECU, injectors, belt, oil pan, and other part. You can buy used parts to save some money.
I think you should stick with your SC. and save yourself some trouble if your turbo goes bad, and dealership won't touch it.

wait are you trying to tune the supercharger, with a piggyback? i got mine thru newandsalvagedparts.com, on ebay $60.00 (615)256-1293. search "paperclip", and that will show you how to program it. very very easy to do.

Oh ok so you did use a piggyback. People on the forum said a piggyback is a waste of time.

i dont know what people you speak of, but you do not need a standalone for your needs. if you keep your s/c, get a new ecu and piggyback, you will gain more hp. you can change pulley and tune better a/f ratio, while not having the lower top speed toyota does with thier trd tune.

Ok for example. This piggyback http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/part...iggyback//7627, is something that will work. So I would just need to find an ecu?
