Default Supercharger upgrade kits from Forcefed Racing

what does everybody think about the supercharger upgrade kits from http://www.forcefedracing.com. they have a kit stage 1, 2, and 3 kits. stage one is just a tuned unichip, stage 2 is a 9 psi pulley with a tuned unichip, and they mention a stage 3 at 11 psi. sounds like a fun affordable improvement for the trd supercharger

affordable? 1000 bucks on top of the 3500+ for the installed S/C and unichip to boot Which means you only get to tweak it at Unichip approved shops...

At leasts something is getting out there....

my tc is my daily driver and only car, so affordability to mean means reliability, and minimal downtime. i'd love to turbocharge my tc, but i know i would never stop worrying about it. the supercharger affords peace of mind, but i hate seeing all those video's of trd supercharged tc loosing to turbo tc's and even that video of the turbo xb beating a super tc.

Be aware though, if you modify your SC with their kits, that you'll void the warranty on it, so gamble there as well, with SC reliability, as it's a bit shaky right now as well, with those with oil shaft leaks and such...

More power = More risk... S/C or T/C....

thats why i love this site, i spend so much time reading other driver's reviews to see how well different modifications go. which is why i introduced what i found at forcefed racing.

I think everyone should be seeing more and more Unichip tuners out there. The Unichip GP and Unichip Q are really amazing tuning tools. I'm not surprised that Forced Fed drew the same conclusion about the Unichip as Turbonetics did.

i bought their stage 2 unichip back in April without thier pulley cause I was already running the NST pulley, its a garbage tune out of the box, definitely needs cleaning up hardcore for your specific area

i found a unichip dealer less that 8 miles from my house. so with proper and convienent tuning, would it be a worthwhile investment?

its a good base map to start off with but if I were you I would find a regular unichip unprogrammed and just get it tuned by your local tuner

with the right tune yes, very worth it... however all it is essentially is a pulley and unichip if you look around you might grap the items seperately at a lower price...

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead but $1,090.00 for the Stage 2 Kit is little to much for the stage 2. if you compare the price of other stage 2 S/C out there for other cars . you will say where is the deal? you can get some stage 2 parts for the cobalt for about 849. 00. from the dealership and it;s under warranty.

I'd just go with the emanage ultimate, a 9lb pulley and tuning. It'd work much better for that price.
