Default supercharger vrs turbo

ok this is the deal. I have an 06 scion tc and want to run a turbo but I need realibility, its a daily driver. i was gonna do the supercharger but the more i read up on it, its really not worth the money. to explain a little more i run the car home about twice a year to michigan and its about 1000 miles would running a turbo cause any problems with this. any info would be great on what kits would be good for what i do with the car.

The thing about turbos or anything aftermarket is that some companies take the time to do it right and make good products and some make a product without much thought which probably wont be good. If you have a problem with the turbo its up to you to fix it when you break on the side of the road. If you are a good mechanic this would be less of a concern probably. If you break the supercharger there are dealers all over that can fix it.

the mechanical work isn't the problem i have been working on cars sence about 13 was a crew chief for 4 years on a race team but forced induction is all new to me i have worked on mostly N/A engines so i really don't know much about them yet. I Just want something that isn't gonna blow up in a year if you know what i mean.

meh, the turbo breaking won't be the problem. the turbo will likely break the NA parts so you would probably know whats broken and how to fix it ;p

if a turbo breaks it's under warranty so you can get it replaced most of the time ;)

FYI.....If you do your turbo setup right the FIRST time, I am willing to bet it will last just as long as a S/C tC. You will be good either way, as long as you do it RIGHT!
