That goes for every F/I application on a tC, including a S/C'er. The seals fail sooner or later...

LOL....the warranty is only for stock S/C'ers with nothing else on them. How many stock only S/C'ers you know of?

That's what they all say....
Might as well leave the car stock and add bolt-ons, you will be just as fast, and spend less money. I/H/E+crank pulley is AS fast as a S/C'ed only tC.

Warranty is overrated. They try to blame you for any and everything anyway so they don't have to provide free labor. But hey, get the S/C'er, have fun with it, when the seals go, take it to a Dealer and have some grease guy fix it up for you. Better make sure you never drive it hard though, otherwise they will try and find any neglect on your part and stick you with the bill.
Bottom line, the S/C'er is the LEAST cost effective route for the tC. Dollars - to - HP ratio is the worst if you buy that and keep it completely stock. But if you change it, there goes the warranty anyway, so you might as well go turbo.

from my own THOROUGH experience with the supercharger, trd wont really back you on it unless it just doesnt work. mine only boosts 5psi, 174whp at most and they dont really care. they say its within spec and they only say you can get UPTO 7psi 19x whp. just something to keep in mind.
it is very inexpensive, the installation is simple, and its great that its tuned. if you want simplicity that will give you a decently balanced engine, get the s/c.
oh yeah almost forgot to mention, it will burn oil. i burn about a quart of oil every 2k miles so... though i dont know if thats all from the supercharger. its natural for a supercharger like the ones we can get to burn oil, as its used for both lubrication and cooling, but a quart is a bit excessive.
