Im doing a radiator flush - got some crappy coolant and some bubbles in the system so ill be flushing the rad tomm - im really wanting to put in a 160* thermostat while im at it - anyone know of a 160* thermostat i could pick up at a local auto parts store? 170 is good enough.. 160 would be pointless imo coz the car never drops to below 160 on stock cooling sytem unless its winter.. lower than 160 is below operating temp too.. i have gates 170 deg and its the one of the best cooling upgrade for its price

does your fan stay on all the time? on my 170 Deg thermostat the fan is always on most of the time.. so i dont think 160 or 170 deg will matter much..

<---- runs standalone.. I control my fans! I have it set to turn on fan 1 at 170 and fan 2 at 185

This week i will also be setting up my boost by gear feature built into the aem ems!

Seriously i love this box!

its like 1000 things in 1! i can control boost by engine temp, traction, gear, speed , switch.. anything i want!

Pretty much the best mod i ever did!

so pretty much is like one fan on most of the time and 2 goes on at 185F..

nice to hear you explore the features of the standalone, i feel the same too learning about it each day.. standalone= great investment

TRD has one in the is suppose to go with the supercharger kit and can be purchased seperately. Most dealers want $60 for it.

I have the TRD thermostat and my fan isn't on all the time. Usually pops one at idle. then comes off after a minute.

It hasn't gotten too hot here yet though (80-90).
