Default tC rod and crank bearings...

I have a limited supply of rod and crank bearings for the tC's in stock at this time. These seem to be a very hot item do to the shortage in the country at this time. I have even had people try to order them from my company account at the dealership.

I know some of you all are looking for these to rebuild your engines for whatever reasons and I will be offering them to the scion community as I can. I know that these are not availible at this time and many people either are, or have been waiting weeks or longer to get these.

Each journal is different so you will need to know exactly what you need before hand, which unfortunatly means you have to have your engine apart. I have multiple sizes in stock and the camry bearings will not work on the tC setup.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me via PM, email, or phone at anytime.

I think the main problem is that most of the bearings are being used in the production of the cars themselves, and there are not many left over for rebuilds.

Right this second there are ZERO availible in the country from a Toyota Dealer and I believe their system ties into the lower Canadian system as well. Orders for these have taken weeks and weeks to fill as some people on here already know.

http://www.myscionparts.com/

Lists them as well. I had forwarded this to ZPI cause they were looking for them so i thought I would offer it up here as well. Thier site and search pretty much sucks, but once you look around they list every part of the engine as available.

I just got off the phone with them. They are all "back ordered", which seems to be the case anywhere I talk to.

^^ That is a very strange thing. So far a handful of tCs have had issues with spun or severly damaged rod bearings.. then we find out that the 2azfe in the tC is not the same design as the on in the camry, and finding rod bearings is like pulling teeth. Very strange. I would think that these would not be so hard to find. Thanks for the info though.

Yeah, it appears the issue is these cars are made in Japan for the USA market. Strange indeed.

^^ That could very well be the case.

How is yours doing? Havent heard from you in a while! I assume she is enjoying the boost! I am still working on a few new things for the tC, hopefully will have one close to being done this weekend if all goes well.

Thanks Rick. When I found out people were having problems getting a hold of these things, I gathered up as many as I could to try and help people out. Get ahold of me man and let me know how the car is comming.

Could it be that you went and bought them all up to create demand and control the market... I smell conspiracy ;) j/k It's great that we have people like you to turn to when the dealerships can't even help!

Haha. I can't create Demand, just the supply part. In either event, they are here if they are needed.
