Default Tc supercharger problem!!!!!!

I have a 2005 tc with a Trd supercharger, I had it installed last august, and it been a great mod I have no complaints, car runs great,s/c sounds great too, however I have a little problem with the right side of the shaft cover. Due to I don't know what, either heat, vibration, or something else, the shaft cover is rattleing on the shaft, the shaft cover is only off by a 1/4 inch.

I talked to a tc owner who has a Trd s/c tc (gompka), he told me that there I supposed to me a horseshoe bracket thy came with the kit, my kit didn't come with the bracket, Trd says they have no parts, vortech said all Trd, the Toyota dealer said we will order a bracket kit but no promises.

So a local machine shop is going to make one for me, all I need is the exact measurements of the bracket, does anyone have a bracket I could get the measuresments off of, PLEASE I need help!!!

Can you post pics of your SC? I don't think you're missing anything, sounds like the right side shaft cover is way off alignment, this same thing happened to me, the SC needs to be moved a bit over to the left to make it align better with the shaft cover, sounds like a bad install to me, hope you get it taken cared of, good luck.

But you said you have an 05 tC right? well the 05-06 SC shaft came with a cover at the end of the shaft where it connects to the blower, that part already came on the shaft and could not have been left out(unless it was left out by TRD) was this installed by a Toyota dealer? did you buy it new or used, if new from a dealer?. Now if you have the 07+ version then I could see how that aluminum cover at the end of the shaft was left out by mistake, and even then its hard to believe cause in the install manual it specifically tells you in the instructions how to install it and torque it down, so even if it was missing from the TRD factory the tech, mechanic or whom ever installed it should have noticed it missing and said something, instead that person turned their head and left it like that? dam....I would be so heated and _____ing at whom ever if that would have happened to me. Good luck man, hope you get it taken cared of.

P.S I'm not doubting what gompka told you, he knows his stuff when it comes to the SC, I'm just trying to get clarification on some things so that maybe we(Scionlifers) can help you out better.

no worries, i fixed the problem, i had to take matters into my own hands and have a custom bracket made for the s/c out of 1/2 steel, the end result...well no more shaft cover rattle, and i even paid to get the bracket polished to match the rest of the s/c. i cant be ridin dirty, although some might like it like that, but im so fresh and so clean.

btw big thanks to seese machine and al for hooking it up and for lou and lou's polishing.
