Default Those of you with Forge 007's, what color spring do you run?

Just wondering what color springs people are using. Green is obviously the one that's recommended, and is what my "friend" will be using, but I know that some people here are using either blue or yellow. And someone correct me if I'm wrong, I think I remember someone saying they used red. However, that's for a 30+ psi application apparently, and I believe Forge recommends not using a red spring with ANY of their diaphragm type valves.

Im using the red and a spacer only because the valve is installed backwards so they tend to leak boost unless you have the stiffest spring in there but if your gonna install it normally then the green spring is all you will need

Why do you have it installed backwards?

it becomes audible with an intake during shifts like a BOV...learned it from my VW buddies that have been using the Forge forever

the long side of the piping goes down and the short side goes to the left towards the passenger side

Actually, the above I have found to be incorrect. If you look at your bypass valve, the port where you can stick your finger in and compress the spring is the "in" side. That side should be feeding into (or should I say being "fed by") the hose going to the throttle body. So if anyone was wondering this same thing, that's the way you should install it.

Simplyscion, you actualy have it installed the correct way instead of backwards. Haha.

Yep (no plans whatsoever on going more). But with a stiffer spring isn't it harder for the vacuum to open the valve between shifts?

I'd do the blue. You'll be fine. The red is rated for like 25psi and it opened perfect on 9lbs for me, lol.
