Take a REALLY good look at this picture, look at the engine bay. Look at the structural mounts, placement of all the fluid tanks, brakes, air cleaner, fuse box, alternator, dip stick, strut brace, strut mounts and wiper blades. Hmmm, as I ponder. Yes you are correct, this is a Turbo charged top mounted inter-cooled SCION????

That motor right there is a 4th gen 3S-GTE

And we have a winner!! Yes that is the Caldina from the UK. It is a1.5 lit engine. The technology is in place along with proven market sales and service. The real issue, the hurdles it will take to get it passed and sold here in the US. That will take time, also Toyota/SCION needed a platform to be proven in the US market and get enough units sold. With the track record of the SCION brand and unit sales have met Toyotas expectations you will start to see the next generation of SCIONS offer higher performance packages. Thus the reason the new xB will now have the 2.4 liter engine. Double unit sales (engines) and you can increase the demand for performance parts. Deviding between two engine platforms only keeps over head high, unit sales down and profits divided.

Kenny knows as well as I do, only time will tell and we both have a little more insight to what is coming from SCION!!! And it looks good!

The hype is true. The Chris Rado series turbo kit is coming soon. TRD has been working with Chris Rado and TwisTurboINC, Descendant. The kit does not include a
piggy back system. The stock computer will be reflashed by Toyota which is the reason why they have been working with Toyota so closely on making this turbo kit
availible threw a dealership near you. With the stock interneal swaped out you can run the stage 3 model running at 550 HP. The turbo is set up that way, so you can upgrade without having to buy a bigger turbo. Good stuff.

I'll belive it when I see it, but I can say with all confidence a turbo kit will be sold with the following warning:

This part is intended for off-highway use only. Use of this part on a vehicle operated on public roads may violate federal, state or local laws or regulations including, but not limited to, emission requirements and motor vehicle safety standards. In California this part may legally be used only on a racing vehicle which will never be operated on public roads. This part is sold with no warranty and installation of this part may adversely affect the warranty coverage on your vehicle.

I was told they was only going to have up stage 2 with stock interneal swaped. I know Descendant is making the turbo kits for the The scion tCs new generation Scion xBs, Toyota Matrixs and Toyota Corollas. if they making a turbo kit for most of the toyota models. you toyota and TRD is working with them .I have seen the Descendant turbo kit for the tC up and running on the tC on different videos. you can find the info on their webpage. After all Scion mean descent. why wouldn't the name their turbo kit Descendant.
