Called my uncles work today and ordered the S/C, he said it should be 1-2 days as long as it's not on back-order. Shooting for this weekend/next week for install.

yay, another supercharger. The whistle is worth half the price :D

Oh, and you might be able to fit the injen CAI to the rubber U-bend in the supercharger kit. I have seen the K&N one work, so why not the Injen one?

Im going to do a Intercooler/Intake set-up later on, So I posted my Intake in the Classified Section and am going tomorrow to meet another SL'er that is buying it.

On the Whistle Side, do you notice the Whine as you dig into the throttle or only down towards idle?

down towards idle. It whistles at idle...and there is some whistle during throttle. Very noticeable. I thought I would have a sleeper...but it kinda gives it away.

So they void your supercharger warranty if you have a header? That's some BS.

They can't void your S/C warantee because you have a header. If something goes wrong with the S/C and you have a header it has no effect on them validating the repairs to the S/C. There is a law out there, forgot the name, that basically states that they can only void warantee work on something that has been modified, and that specific part has to be the cause of the malfunction.

right, and the header will be the cause in toyota's eyes. They say that since there is no longer a heat shield there the heat is warping the seals of the supercharger and causing it to fail. Thus the header is the cause of the failure and warranty is voided.

Is this true? Has it happened to someone before?

its called the magnus moss act... doesn't really offer us as tuners any sort of protection. They can void you warranty for pretty much any reason... including negligence. Hard to win against something like negligence, not putting your heat shield back on = negligence. Beating on it too hard = Negligence. Racing = Negligence. Not letting your car cool down = negligence. blah blah blah they hosed me, stu_gotti and highlandermac, dealerships make a living out of charging you the most they can, and its no secret they get paid less on warranty work then regular work...

Im going to heat wrap my MMW piece when I get it. Heat wrap works wonders, my last car that had a header had heat wrap, it would keep the header cool to the touch even if you were just running it. Gave off minimal heat, keeps it in the exhaust where it belongs.

Now I need to get on the Horn and give MMW a call and ask them when the Header is shipping out.
