TRD S/C supercharger, does it require a Turbo timer???
Hey everyone, well I've been debating whether or not I should get a TRD S/C or just go Turbo. But I was wondering does the S/C need a turbo timer to allow the internals to cool down? Or is it unnecessary? I'm just looking at a reliabilty stand point. I have read and talked to somepeople who have complained that the TRD S/C has its problems with seals and leaks?

All a turbo timer does is keeps the car running so that the turbo can cool properly. If you just let the car idle or not run it under boost prior to parking it and turning it off, you'd be okay without it. Now the s/c won't be exposed to such high temps, and you won't need to cool it, and therefore, no turbo timer is needed.
