Default TRD S/C and tuning?

Alright I've searched and can't really find my answer and not sure what I should do. I'm looking to get my Trd s/c set up tuned though I don't know of or seen any tuning shops anywhere in my area and don't have any tuning experience so I was deciding on whether I should spend money on the uni-chip for my s/c 9.5 pulley set up since they told me they have a map for my set-up. I wanted some opinions from someone who has the uni chip or any experience with it with my set up.

2010 Tc Trd s/c 9.5 pulley with I/h/e

First, I ran the 9.5PSI pulley on the TRD flash ECU without issues.
Second, I am running the 12PSI pulley on the TRD flash ECU without issues.
...when I say without issues, that is disregarding the fact that the TRD flash is very ____ty and pig rich above 5800rpm or so...

Uni-chip, from my talks with other S/C users and guys at Unichip, will work well up front and better after a Unichip tune.

Wouldn't running the 12psi pulley blow the s/c or motor maybe both with a better tune? Do you got at least bigger injectors and some cooling ?

If I got the UNI chip I'd have to get there ore loaded map there are no UNI chip tuners anywhere in my area

Second I have the 12psi pulley if u could run that with the UNI chip tunes for the 9.5 pulley with bigger injectors would that work better than what your doing now?

Since the installation of the S/C on my tC I've noticed a few things that I correlate to the higher altitude/lower air density of being in Denver. When I had the initial install done I did feel a power increase on the car, but it didn't feel like much. I ran the stock pulley for maybe 10k miles, i was eager to get the 9.5psi pulley since users were saying it can be run without tuning issues. Once i had it installed I also installed a boost gauge and took it to the dyno. The boost that both the gauge and dyno were recording was between 7.3 to 7.7psi.... on a 9.5psi pulley. After the 9.5psi install, the car was running very nice, it was a significant difference from stock.

Stock (at sea level) should run 6-7PSI ... I was probably only getting 5psi. So I applied the same 2psi loss theory and after 30k miles on the s/c swapped to the 12psi pulley... which now results in a 10psi boost.

I do plan on running cooling and plan on modifying the fuel system (pump/injectors). I also plan on installing Unichip as well and having it custom tuned once the fuel/cooling upgrades are complete.

I will then put in a custom order request to NST to make their 15PSI pulley. The supercharger is rated for 15PSI output max. Before I go this far, I have to rip the S/C apart and replace seals and put in the newer shaft, thank you Gompka!

That altitude really matters lol I'm hitting the full 9.5-10 psi with the 9.5 was gonna install that 12psi with some 550 injectors but nervouse without a better tune and cooling it will destroy my engine or s/c or both

http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/ai...ure-d_462.html
Sealevel Air Pressure: 14.7psia
5000ft Air Pressure: 12.2psia

It's even worse when I go curve hunting up in the mountains and get above 7000ft on some of the lower passes.

There is a guy on another forum (clubsciontc.com i think) that is running 12PSI @ 12PSI on the TRD reflash, with water/meth inj and upgraded injectors without any problems. I've never found him on Scionlife...

I wonder if I can get by without meth and a custom tune for awhile. Closest tune I can get is UNI-chip tuned for 9.5 I suppose that's better than Trd tune

There's no need for meth with the 9.5 pulley the afr's on the TRD reflash are way rich. Im sure the tune on the Uni-chip is also rich. I would suggestion getting AEM wideband first to see what your afr's are then go from there. You could have Uni-chip lean it out or my suggestion get AEM FIC and have it tuned you can do timing and fuel you'll make the most power these way!!!

in sort you can run a 12psi pulley if you do a water intercooler like i did you dont need meth but you do need bigger injectors and tune

You need some form of cooling if you run the "12 psi" pulley, just too much risk of detonation. I am a few weeks from completing my intercooler and will be getting retuned with FIC. I plan to sell my unichip with tune and the intake tubing to mount a water sprayer at that point, keep an eye out if you are interested.

I am pretty sure UNICHIP has my tune on hand to load for folks.
