I'll probably keep it in there because it keeps the filter from moving around, and if i need to take my car back to the dealer it only takes five minutes to change back.
Is there a benefit to removing the bottom of the airbox? Any consequences?
Yeah, I would say so. ZPI removed the bottom half of the airbox and gained 20whp on the dyno. INSANE, I know.
The testing was crap honestley. The first run with the airbox connected the car looks like it detonated and had timing pulled back like mad. The second run without the bottom of the airbox the car made the pass without the engine pulling timing so the numbers were better. Also they do not even have the kit installed as trd intended so all results are blah. They should have started testing with it setup exactly as trd intended and then start work from there.

Just another SC owner checking in. I bought a boost gauge today, i'll be putting it in tomorrow and posting up the boosting characteristics i see.. I'd like to get the S-pipe and see if that helps out a decent amount with the stock header and exhaust.

I heard greenbox's BOV in person the day after the SC was installed....I thought it was turbo'd when he first drove by.

I guarantee you everyone will do it or compliment it. It sounds AMAZING.

Hey I was considering getting the supercharger and I was wondering how woul you install a header after the supercharger installation? the New Heatshield looks like it doesn't come off easy and the pulley bracket seems to block the corner bolt on the stock exhaust manifold.

Next SE meet I'll bring my camera. Unfortuantely, the camera sound gives absolutely no justice to it, but hopefully you'll get a good idea. Maybe greenbox can get something recorded....

The installing dealer said that the cap was not in the kit, so they did not put it in and noted it on the work order. They promised to order a cap and send it to me. I have nothing against this plan ;)

Capping off the BPV (if by that they mean replacing the BPV with a cap of sorts) might lead to SC damage. If they mean letting the BPV work as a BOV, and capping SC inlet piping that was going from the BPV will probably produce a coveted pshh sound and will also cause the car to run rich, since the ECU meters the amount of intake air and expects it to be in the system, not getting blown out.

That's my understanding.

I had my supercharger in for a couple weeks now. The I/H/E is still stock, for now. I might not get a header for a while. I'm having a speed shop make me an exhaust. Hopefully soon I'll have some gauges and the Bosch 110 BPV.

Hello all. I am having mine installed on tuesday. Hopefully it goes well with my HKS exhaust. I plan on a header and spipe but I want to hear someone with header and exhaust to see how it sounds first.

Anyone near Virginia Beach or Hampton Virginia?

I'll be getting something basic...Boost, Oil Pressure, A/F, and maybe a temp guage. Not sure if I should get an EGT or a water temp guage though. I don't think I'd need an oil temp since I don't plan on running high boost or racing.
