its all good. i work from 9-9 tomorrow. lol. but its cool, i can leave and come back as i want. where is the dyno place at? pm me the address or directions and let me know what time youll be there or gimme ur cell or something. hopefully we can test with the trd filter so we can revolutionize the forums . how long do dyno sessions usually last?
aight jason, I talked to twightlight performance, the address is 537 BURLINGTON ST Opa Locka, FL 33054. this shop is 135st and 37av NW but if you're not sure how to get there, we can meet somewhere then ride to it. The appointment is for 2PM. If you can't make it then if you dont work too far i could probably pick up the filter from you, leave you mine, then take it back. the secion should last about 45min-1hr.

thanks! for running the test & posting the results; we were interested as well in that filter.
The wife's tc recently ran 191 on a dynojet, with stock filter set up ( plus trd exhaust & 110 which "maybe" added a couple ponies? ), so if adding the filter can get us to around mid 190's I'd be real happy with our basically stock set up.
I'm also curious, as we've never owned a "modern" car that we've tweaked before, if there is any additional air "noise" with a free flow filter in these systems? I'm guessing that it may be similar to the sound we got in old days when flipping the lid on an air cleaner to get some better airflow.( ok, don't laugh... it was cheaper then a full set up ).

haha. in about 3-4 weeks. i should have my exhaust by then and i want to get a hold of a boost gauge to make sure im running 7psi. that may be why my belt/pulley squeaks? possibly not tight enough and im losing boost. who knows, i guess i'll find out with the gauge. not sure which one to get tho.

i think they are talking about the TRD drop in filter that you can use with the stock trd airbox. so I wouldn't think it would be reusable.

-its different from your typical sri/cai air filter, which those can be used again sometimes if you clean and maintain them proerly.

Yes it is reusable, just like the K&N one, you just have to buy the cleaning kit and clean about every 2 oil changes.

Ill take a picture of it when i get a chance.

I did try to take it off, but there are 6 tabs that it connects to. but the tabs are melted down so the HC filter cant be removed, I ended up getting 2 loose but the other 4 are provent to be troublesome. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem? and if so. Do you order the HC filter from TRDsparks or can you get on from the dealership?

did you get an answer soulxquisite?

from the last time i posted on this thread, i have installed the supercharger and taken off the HC filter. Still haven't seen any pics of the TRD Supercharged air filter that you can buy off trdsparks. The regular air filter that comes with the supercharger kit is actually the same filter that goes in a V6 Sienna. And no, you can't order the HC filter from toyota if you happen to break it. I just took it off as carefully as i could without breaking the edges with a small screwdriver.

ps. I was the one who brought the thread back to life!
and here i am doing it again...

So there was only a 2 hp gain from taking the HC filter out?
