Default TRD Supercharger issues

Hi Everyone,

I know this has been long known, but people have had issues with the TRD branded Supercharger. I want to know how many people exactly have had this issue or bad bearings, seals, shafts, overall poor build of the centrifugal blower.
Obviously these gentleman here had some issues as do most of the tC owners:

Because of the TRD Supercharger, I have been through 7, yes 7 superchargers and 4 motors. I have opened up cases through Scion Corp. in California as well as Mansfield, MA Regional office of Toyota/Scion. My car has since been put back to stock because TRD/Toyota will no longer cover me even though I was within warranty period. The supercharger is not being produced by TRD anymore, and I am sure there is a reason behind it and I do not think that it is the sales not happening on it. There are plenty of tC owners out there that have this unit. I have been a strong contributor to the Scion brand as well as a loyal customer to the Toyota/Scion family. I felt very upset because I had to pay for the supercharger not once but twice, and still have payments left to make on both units, but no longer have either one of the superchargers in my possession. I think that in itself was kind of wrong. I am continuing to pay for something I do not have.

Again, I want to see how many people have had issues, how many cases were brought up to Scion Corp, and how many cases were resolved in the right way or in my case the wrong way.

Was thinking maybe a class action lawsuit for all the people that had issues. So please post up so I can at least see what has been going on.

Good luck, when i brought my problems up to Scion corp, and they didn't do anything about it, I threatened with my lawyer. They laughed at me over the phone and were total a-holes. Only mods on my car were a catback exhaust.

The more constructive route was to make a product that can fix my own and others troubled superchargers. Not sure if you have seen my website, I have lots of info on there www.tcsuperchargers.com Many of the people here on the forums have bought my product and I'm not aware of anyone having problems afterwards.

Just out of curiosity, how did the s/c damage your engine? Short or blowing up the turbine and getting bits of it in the engine I don't see how you could have gone through so many engines.

I've gone through 3 myself, the last time I ended up loosing about $1K, money that I will never see again, its going to be hard for you to figure out how many people were affected since most of them are no longer here or no longer have a SC and no longer care. I myself was looking into a class action lawsuit, but just didn't have the time to really look into it. Even if you do convince a lawyer to take a case and wins, by the time everybody gets their share it will not be what you lost, IMO prob. not worth the effort, the only good thing that would come of that is getting the satisfaction of seeing TRD pay for how they wronged us on this.
