Been boosting with the TRD S/C on 9PSI no probs for nearly 30K miles. Just installed a piggyback emanage to get ready for the 14.5PSI and water/meth in April. The TRD maps are rock solid that is why you better have flashed your ECM when your S/C was installed. No probs and I drive hard. Would suggest a big oil cooler spinning the TRD any faster than on a 9PSI pulley.

Jeze - 14.5lbs as far as I know is the highest anywhere. I haven't heard of anything over 12. At 12lbs you run into tension pulley issues so hopefully you have a plan for that. I thought I was going over and beyond thinking about getting tuned with a 10.5lb ....and your thinking about 14.5 - let me know how that goes. Post up way before you get it done so a bunch of people watch the post grow.

Navy, can you tell me the benefits of water/meth injection over say an intercooled system? Drop me a pm, Thanks!

^if you are running the trd map meth wont help u much. It got me 4whp but I got it for my prep build this year. Once your tuned you can see around 15-20whp off it and keep your air a lot cooler. The ic u dont want with a s/c because you will lose boost because of the extra tubing.

J, do you know how long the IC piping is for the turbocharged systems with intercooler?

if you use a water/air inline i/c you will minimise the piping. i think yo uonly lose 2psi, but the boost is cooler and actually runs the same whp or greater.

Well I relocated my battery today with a kit from summitracing, so I am on my way to test-fitting an intercooler setup for the supercharger. I was able to get dimensions on the supercharger unit as well as dimensions on where it sits in the engine bay compared to the rest of the components. Now its just a matter of finding the more efficient way of piping, and go from there. I just want to use the length of piping on a turbo-charged intercooled system as a base point to try and shoot for.

OK here is the deal......
I/C
PROS - Always working, no problems, consistent
CON - Installation, loss of PSI, possibilty for leaking boost

Meth/H2O
PROS - No loss of boost, no potential for leaking boost, cooler intake charge temps, the right setup can be tuned and connected to e-manage for better control.
CONS - Must be tuned for HP gains, expensive for the right setup, can cause a a severe lean condition if emtpy meth tank.

The meth injection is only good if you have a stand alone or piggy-back controller to advance your timing and increase fuel burn for more power. The TRD maps are only for 9PSI. Anymore and the motor leans out too much.

Im not sure what you want to see but here is ripp mods methanol kit - it hooks into the stock windshield tank so theres not much ecept a black box on the right (under the hood):

2 questions:
1. whats that big black thing on the end of the valve cover right above your methyl injector?
2. are you running any kind of piggyback?
