why not use a pair of vice grips? or goto the auto parts store and look for wheel locks that are that same size?

wheel locks don't all come the same size, even when they look similar. Vice Grips will mess up the outside edge of the bolt, maybe even render it unusable after removing.

you can just stick some sily puddy in there. get a mold of it.
after thats done make a wax releif and a plaster mold. poor a led casting of it with a 16mm or so back to torque from. Its lead, so it melts easy and will be the easiest to cast with, but its a bit soft. so dont reuse it after you get this thing off.

Even if you get the shape right with the lead, you'll bend it well before you even break the bolt free.

I'm sticking with "find a locksmith" as the best advise that may actually work without destroying things.

From what I know from making fishing lures, a 1/16" thick pieces of lead will wrench clean away from the piece it's attached to very easily.

I'm talking mostly about using lead to make a key. I think the bolt would be in perfect condition, still attached, and the lead key would be in 2 pieces.

Well, you cant blame him... that IS why it is tamper proof. Again, too many people screwing warranty these days. They arent going to just give them a way to do it. That is why they made a tamper proof bolt to begin with.

If you want it off, go to a dealer, tell them you dont care about the warranty and ask if they will remove it for you. They will note it in your cars records. I am sure you could find one that will do it for you. There is no reason to take it off unless you are servicing the unit or swapping pullies. If it is the latter, you shouldnt have a warranty any more on the SC... simple as that. So I am sure if you let the dealer know you dont plan to keep the warranty if you swap the pulley and that you need to see the thread pitch they may work with you. If not, call another one.
