TRD Supercharger - Tamper Proof Bolt Info

Not being defensive, just answering the question. Someone thought it was strange they got that answer, but really it isnt. My advice is still the same.
Drax,
I would have them remove it, then try to find a regular bolt (like the one on the first SC) that will fit it. Then you can swap it out any time you like.

What about other parts
Hey guys why can't we just skip the damn pulley and buy the cams, intake and better breathing head that way the supercharger is still under warranty anyway because it wasnt touched ??? LOL By the way I wanted to congratulate everyone that posted in this page this is the most intelligent conversation with no morons to screw it up. Good on ya

If it is the latter, you shouldnt have a warranty any more on the SC... simple as that.
that is my question

But im saying to have the dealer take it off but the dealers can get the keys either. TRD void my warranty for a BS reason which they are SOB's for - so i have no issue about a warranty.

A tech or a service manager, etc. at your uncle's dealership should have the key somewhere.
I just got my car back today from warrantied motor and supercharger replacement. My replacement supercharger has both the "new" bracket and the tamperproof bolt, The bolt also has a stripe of thick, white paint across it that would give away any attempt to apply any tool. Interesting!!

TRD was called today ( i didnt call them but gary did) and he told him they will not give the key to the dealers (hence the fact he works at a dealer and called from the dealer) - SO - whos going to be the first one to give it a shot?

so i'm confused, if i get a new supercharger kit for my tc, it will have this tamper proof bolt and i won't be able to swap the pulley? even when my warranty is over and i don't care anymore?
or i can get it off, but the bolt is simpley there to make sure i don't change the pulley, mess it up, put the stock pulley back on and try to claim it?
is it tamper PROOF or tamper EVIDENT?

tamper proof
best bet is to wait till the warranty is done then swap it, by then someone should have a setup out that will be bug free, and won't kill the supercharger or motor
course the toyota turbo could be out before then too
