Default Treadstone, Honeycomb MAF Airflow Straightener

Just wanted to turn people on to this new innovation we are incorporating into a lot of our products.

HoneyComb MAF Mass Air Meter Airflow Straightener. These small additions to any cold air intake, turbo inlet pipe or anywhere a MAF sensor is located, will greatly improve the MAF readings "fuel trims" that the ECU sees. No more erratic MAF readings, fix lean or rich spikes, increase throttle response, fix idle, all of these can be improved with this $20 upgrade!
-Available in 3", 3.5" and 4" diameters.
-Slides right into pipe before MAF sensor
-Can be glued, braised, or epoxy'd in

it helps remove turbulent air by feeding it through a straight path.

Yes, but I'm curious as to how this fixes all of the other various problems.

For those that run draw-through MAFs, does this actually help much compared to the ones that run blow-through?

Yeah, you're right. Guess it must help the MAF readings a lot. I remember seeing people with not-so-perfect intake setups causing turbulence which lead to bad readings, which lead to crappy running cars.

I totally understand how this works! Mythbusters made a homemade wind tunel out of a bunch of straws to make the air move strait instead of super turbulent, but it would be nice to see some scientific numbers on how it improved things.

I woul dbe so scared to install that in my intake pipe - Just some simple glue that holds it in?!?!!!! What about 10lbs or 20lbs of boost blowing past that wouldnt it just send it flying through the intake system smashing into the MAF and throttle body?

maybe you can just weld the edges to the pipe.. but it will be real hard for us blow thru set up guys where you cant reach where the maf sensor is inside the pipe unless you cut the pipe. for 20 bucks its a good deal. but still worried about the high boost applications.

maybe. it just still seems risky for a blow through set up.

I'm running blo-thru steup on 10psi so I'll update my findings on this post so you guys can see if works or not. I'm getting a new intake section welded in a few days so look for my post.

Hmm I'm running a draw through Dezod kit. I believe the intake pipe where my MAF is located has a diameter of 2.5". Any chance this will be offered in that size anytime soon?

Braising this in with Solder is the best way, these things have very little wind resistance.

Also, if you want a 2.5" size just call us up to order
