Treadstone sent me a Fake Bov WTF!!!!!!!
#21
2nd for contacting Greddy. Their announcement is here:
http://www.greddy.com/news/?id=72
They even say:
Doesn't say if they'll be any help in replacing it, probably not unless you bought from an authorized dealer. Treadstone is out of Miami and they're not listed on Greddy's site.
I'm guessing Treadstone got it 2nd party from a wholesaler and didn't know it was a fake. If they paid wholesale for genuine and got a fake, I'd imagine they'd be just as ____ed as you are.

Sorry to see that happen. Have you got a hold of Treadstone yet? Give them a ring and calmly* explain the situation and provide them with the photos. I don't think its the best idea to call them up ranting and threatening to sue over a couple hundred dollar blow off valve.
Chances are that they don't even know that it was a knock off.

well contacted treadstone today and explain to them that they had sent me a fake bov. first they didn't believe me but i sent them photos and jason went thru all their bov. Out of 60 about 8 were fake according to what he told me not to mention that he didnt even know that there were fake replicas of the greddy. well after talking to them they are gonna send me a new one no charge on monday. problem # 2 the MAF Sensor adapter was drilled wrong so the MAF wont thread in let alone seat in the groove that is cut out there this kit is starting to be a pain

i agree with soFloTC if your directing it to me its uncalled for. what makes you special that you can boost your ride and others can't yeah i am having issues with crap that they sent. so what im just sharing the wrongs of the company so that anyone else who may purchase their kit can be aware of things like this. so lay off dude

you jumped on here saying that you were going to sue them and yada yada yada over a bov that the company themselves did not know was fake. They said they will fix it and are going to send you a real one. you came on here trippin over something so small. U might run into bigger problems down the road going boosted, you just going to loose it when you do ?

kind of. I think if I was that whole heartily set on it though, I'd make it happen.
I know I've spent way too much money on useless mods that I could have been boosted by now.
But until my mom stops helping me with the payments, and I get my degree, NOS will have to do for now.

yep..same with me
If I didnt spend 4 grand on coils and a lip kit, I could have already been turbo..well minus installation, tuning, other problems....haha nvm I would still need more money.

I know. I've thought about it.
But when I go turbo, I want to do it right, and at the moment I can't justify spending three grand that I don't have. I'm leaving for school in a month, and we can't even take out a loan big enough to cover it.
but like I said, once I'm outta school, the tc can become my playtoy and I can get my hands on a nice, stock yet powerful daily driver.

ya man thats were I am at too. except I bought two sets of coilovers before settling down on a set of trd springs and shocks. I love the handling though, Found myself just slamming the coils because it was soo hard not to. I have most of my kit just chillin in my room and it does not look like it is going to get installed anytime soon. I think I am going to save up and install it with a stand a lone and water meth after I get my wheels, lip , paint and recaros and takatas. than It will go on.
