question.

why is the flexpipe located right after the top turbo? wont the bottom turbo, or half of the manifold, still be subject to rocking from the motor and lead to future damage?

seems like the flex pipe should have been placed a little further down

otherwise fitment looks spot on!!

the two turbos will expand and contract at different rates dont want to crack the dp or the mani the dp at the exhaust pipe end will probably use a flex joint

my bad I had just got back from camping and was completely out of it. I dont understand how this kit will be more efficient than a single ball bearing or aerocharger turbo. you think bout it skylines and supras came stock with twin snails but the faster ones are all single. how does that work ? I am confused as I always thought a well matched single turbo was better than two. Todd can you please explain. It seems like this set up will yield the same power as your other kits but it will just spool faster ? and look more bad ___ ?

My thoughts exactly.....

With the retention of the stock seats, you keep the factory comfort vs aftermarket bucket/racing style seats. And this guy likes to drive. And we made the crossbar bend backwards enough so you can slide the seats all the way back and still recline enough for those "the seat needs to recline just enough moments"

but in the grand scheme of things.....were building a car for show.

And to top it off, both seat manuf. that I had worked out a deals with, couldn't make our deadline.

The owner of the car will have to decide what he wants to do with that.

Hey just throwing an idea out there and was wondering if it could possibly work. What if you routed all 4 exhaust ports from the manifold to the first turbo's turbine and route the exhaust outlet from that turbo directly to the turbine of the 2nd turbo?

I don't know too much about twin turbo's, but wouldn't this possibly work since it is as if both turbos are able to receive the exhaust pressure out of the 4 cylinders.

Or is this set up not efficient since the 2nd turbo won't be spooled as fast?

^ Exactly I was thinking that same thing so i asked someone that works with turbos and this is what he told me.

Anyway as for your Turbo setup I see a few concerns. The fact that you would be running a conventional turbo first, then powering an Aerocharger, your would actually be spooling the Aerocharger slower than normal as the exhaust gases are being slowed down slightly by the first Turbo. Sequential turbo setups,
though an interesting design, aren't around anymore for good reason. They just aren't very efficient and add a significant amount of weight to the vehicle, compared to a properly sized single turbo setup. In fact the remote mount setup would more than likely be less responsive than the setup you are running right now unfortunately.

I definitely understand where you are coming from about not wanting to have to sell anything off and especially wanting to do something different. So my advice to you is to put some thought into exactly what you want the end result to be how you want it to perform.
A single Aerocharger may not be the most different looking setup, but being able to start building boost before you even let the clutch out is something that few people would be able to say they can do. Especially in a tC.

I looked into the Aerochargers and talked to one of their turbo techs. I had another idea but wanna talk to Todd bout it and see his views of it. I am not sure if it will harm the first Turbo or just make it less responsive due to the fact that the exhaust gases will have a great deal of added back pressure. Back pressure is a Turbo engines enemy.

Todd how much to trade in my polished v2.1 manifold and brand new turbo and down pipe/ S pipe for this set up?

All is still new.

And the setup does look very interesting. In to see how it all comes together. I would like to see a sequential setup though. One smaller turbine feeding/spooling up a MASSIVE larger turbo. That would be sick!
