log style = cheaper..... the whole idea of the simple kit is that it's more affordable. the performance potential is still there, just at a price that won't break the bank.

I'm sure you can upgrade the manifold too?

depends... what psi? your numbers would be similar to any other kit out there with a log-style manifold at a consistent PSI level. as we've said before, though, turbo size and of course tune play a major role too

i think the same numbers as dezod woudnt be to far fetched as this is what the kit is aiming at but at a correct price not to mention todd is making it and lets face it we all know he is the man

This is an accurate statement to an extent. I'm going to try to answer this question once and for all to end the speculation (since speculation is all we'll truly have until dynos are posted)

When considering power numbers a turbo kit has the potential to make, many factors contribute to the equation (in no particular order):

Turbo Sizing
Piping Size
Intercooler Efficiency
Boost Settings
Fuel Map / Engine Management / Fuel Delivery (aka TUNING, injectors, etc.)
Exhaust Setup (Includes Manifolds, Downpipes, and the rest all the way to muffler)
Heat (Engine Bay temps, piping surface temps, etc. etc. etc.)
Environmental Factors such as altitude, humidity, temperature, air gas density

Now, nobody is going to be able to account for all of these things individually at this point. So now what we do is look for an industry benchmark and make educated comparisons. When you look at this particular TurboToyotas Kit, the most obvious comparison (component for component) is the Dezod S1 kit and other log manifold-based kits.

Stay with me. If we had a common car with the exact same exhaust and other setups, and the ONLY variable was the turbo kit on the car (also assuming turbo size was identical, tunes were very similar, etc.), the numbers should be quite comparable,

That being said, you will have some Dezod kits putting out quite a bit more WHP than other Dezod kits. The same goes for TurboToyotas kits. Those types of results are based on much more than the kit itself; outside factors play a bigger role than most realize. For this reason it is hard to directly compare things without taking a grain of salt with it. But, IN GENERAL, the Simple Kit makes a good comparison for the Dezod S1 kit in terms of actual numbers.

Hope this helps. As I've said before, if anyone has any specific questions, feel free to PM me.

Commend:

Todd,

Both you and Dezod have put a lot of time into your efforts here on scionlife. I just got finished reading these thirteen pages while I'm at work in the library....exciting i know. But seriously, it's a great thing that you are giving the community such a wide array of options.

I'm going big or going home. But I've got to think more about what I want and some other things need to come before the turbo.

Keep things rollin. And how baller is that to have the guy who built your kit for you come to you! WOW!

Yeah, Todd came down for mine, and should be here again in March. Hopefully he is able to tear away from his festivities for a bit to pay us a visit!
And I will be up there in May, so hopefully I'll get to swing by the shop or something!

Todd's a good guy.
