Default tuning ?'s

ok i have emanage ultimate and the pressure sensor. I was sent a basemap and it runs rather rich, yesterday i did some street tuning in 3rd and 4th, and got my af/r's around 12, then when i came to a stop and took off from 1st, 1st was WAY lean, 2nd alittle lean, then 3rd and 4th decent.

I had to add fuel back to the map to get more fuel in 1st and 2nd but now its runnning rich in 3rd 4th again, how do i go about fixing this, im tuning off boost/rpm so all gears share the same cells on my fuel map for the most part.

First off, the Ultimate struggles with the tC. The entire e-manage series does. So this is pretty common. A properly tuned AEM FIC will solve this issue. However, if you do not have the $$ for this, there should be some methods to get this close to being on point.

You are using the pressure sensor, which is a good start because now you can tune off of boost as apposed to throttle position. If you are in closed loop, which I assume you are, you will not be able to have tons of control over the fuel delivery you need. The primary stock O2 sensor is great on this car, and is a boarderline wideband O2. So as a result, it's probably correcting some of the tune you made.

Try tuning strictly in 4th because this is the gear that is closest to 1:1. All of the other gears should fall better into place. If you need real help beyond this, please email me for rates and assistance on e-mapping.

i was told i could unhook the primary o2 sensor without affecting my car and it would make it easier to tune? can you confirm that paul? And ill go out today and try what you said

You can, but it will alter the car in a way especially if your not spot on on your tune. You will not pass inspection with it like this too (if your state has emissions and such)

It allows the e-manage to tune off of boost instead of TPS
