Turbo burning under hood liner
So it appears my turbo is burning my under hood liner in the tC. Manifold is coated, everything else left stock. It appears to be under the down pipe.
Anyone have this problem or solutions??
I'm partially concerned about this catching on fire, so any easy to do ideas are definetly supported.
Side Note: Would adding a degree of timing(which reduces EGT's I believe??) help?

I had this problem with my Dezod S1. Never got a turbo blanket or a heat sheild, just used a bit of tin-foil and stuck it to the hood liner with some RTV sealant. Worked perfectly for $0

Will get turbo blanket long term, will temp fix with RTV and foil.
It appears to be over the piping more then the turbo. Hard to tell though.
Edit: Does Dezod have a blanket for the greddy turbo? if not who would?

umm he is worried it might catch fire, the hood liner is fire resistant, it was designed to stop fires they arent flammable and if it does catch it will put itself out. dont worry about it, or just take it off.
Personally I carry a fire extinguisher in my car, if a car catches its going down fast

btw thats not my car, thats carlos's aka carlanga. I started making those things because of him, his manifold comes close to the hood and the kit normaly comes with a stick on gold foil but he got the kit used so no foil. I took one look and came up with an idea of cutting some aluminum sheet metal and polishing em up to help reflect some of that heat and help spread the heat instead of it concentration on one spot. It worked like a charm and looks good too.
