Default Which Turbo Charger to chose??

I'm looking into turboing my tC, I've been looking around at the different turbos made. So far I'm leaning towards the tread stone turbo since it looks like that gives the highest hp. My only concern is it just made for manual or can it be used on automatic as well? Is this a good turbo to go with or is there any other better turbos to chose from, I would appreciate the incite.

Thanks.

you can change the psi to whatever you like
talk to todd for a turbo toyota kit
or talk to paul for a dezod

lol. everybody here agrees that

"can i get a downpipe with your manifold"
"no"
"can you point me in the direction to get it?"
"custom"

is not great tech service.

yes, though you are answering my questions...it doesn't help very much when you say that.

i would at least expect a, no we do not offer it because blah blah but if we did then a custom downpipe would cost the same anyways.

which in hte end is what it boiled down to.

stop being bitter hieu!

i thought about it a bit more and came up with this.

does turbonetics offers their down pipe for sale by it self?...NO

did ZPI? NO

how much does Dezod want for theirs? "490$" oh but they force a 2.5 S-pipe on you wether you need it or not and not for free neither...

the only one whom sells their down pipe for under 300$ is ATP turbo and they probably don't even know this site exists.

What class is the treadstone kit by the way? I've seen more stage Is from zpi, dezod, turbotoyotas, turbonetics getting good numbers than treadstone, that would make it a stage 0.5 or 0.75 then.

why is every one hating on treadstone all the sudden?

yeah i called them up and asked to buy the down pipe and got told NO as well and i shook my fist at them and called them bastards, but at the end of the day i hold no grudge.

if you guys keep blindly preaching Dezod and TT its gonna get to the point were any one wanting a kit is going to have
two choose from 2 kits...whats the fun in that?

the truth is treadstone kit is the most affordable kit on the market right now. it can net you around 260hp at 9psi for under 4K out of the box...

Dezods kits start at 4K after another 600 to 700$ on management plus another 400 to 600$ helping your tuner pay for HIS car thats prob faster than yours, and your at 6K to be able to put down 350hp to the wheels because lets face it...its cute to see TC's putting down 500 to 700HP on a dyno BUT in real life 350hp is about as much as any daily driven TC can realistically put down.

so lets see
4K for 260hp on the "stock exhaust"
or
7K+ for 300+hp

this site has become one big advertisement for Dezod, you can't even get any real info anymore its all talk about how great their Dezod or TT kit is and as soon as anyone comes in asking for opinions is like...

new user: "so guys i was thinking about a turbo kit and i was looking at..."
DEZOD!DEZOD!DEZOD!TT!TT!TT!

or...
new user:"so i built my own kit and i was having a problem with..."
DEZOD!DEZOD!BUYDEZOD!TT!TT!

Its actually not hating on treadstone, Its more on giving recommending Dezod or TT over treadstone or other kits.. People talk their good and bad experience and it is what we are seeing.. I agree with you though some people just say dezod dezod or TT TT without saying why which doesnt help much to the person asking. Treadstone price is affordable though but its another thing.. As most of us know all turbo kits has its own share of issues but how to make a bad thing turn to good is where customer service comes into play.. Maybe we dont hear bad things so much on dezod or tt coz they fix it, that surely makes a difference.

you know what i totally agree with Mugetsu, EVERYONE'S all DEZOD! or TurboToyota's?? i hear about all these different turbo setups on here and why doesn't anyone talk about GREDDY?? probably the most trusted name in turbo's! i don't ever hear about people having problems with the greddy setup, then again i never hear of any other setup other then Dezod or TT... sigh... why cant we all just get along and Boost happily?

you haven't been around enough then......

the greddy kit is the only kit with the internal wastegate and its had a lot of problems. yes it works sometimes but its never 100%. there have been little problems with dezod and TT, granted TT has only been out for 6 ish months but its still been out for a relatively short amount of time.

There are 5 big companies that make kits

-turbonetics
-dezod
-TT
-treadstone
-greddy

dezod and TT have amazing CS and treadstone doesn't supply FM with their kit. Dezod and TT both care about what you do to your car which is why they're highly advertised. But thats fine. pick what you want but you'll know you get a quality product with both TT and dezod

turbonetics doesn't count. having to replace your turbo 4 times within a year sucks. but i'll add them to the list.
