I noticed the boltholes on this housing are in different locations than mine are. It looks like it'll line up with my downpipe.

Borderguy, if you've used this downpipe can you remember what your discharge looked like?

this sounds terrible. i'd just buy a turbo and get a custom DP fabbed sounds like it will be less of a headache.

If I get a dp fanned, I'd use the turbo I already have....I just don't know a good place in St Louis to get it done.

Any place that welds can do it it's not much work, but your current turbo won't blow much air it's so smAll I'd say comparable to a t25 or smaller

i see border has said this but he is right. your turbo isnt efficent for our cars and it wont make vary good power. you would probably hit around 240whp on that turbo and it would fall off of the power band relativly fast. tc's with efficent turbo's make power all the way to redline this turbo isnt capable of that.

You could use a different 4 bolt turbo like this one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-T3...item2ebaeb580d
Yes it is eBay I run eBay turbos ALL DAY!
Some people love them, some people hate them.
You could also get a more expensive 4 bolt turbo with the same exhaust housing.
*****Please note!!!!! You will need a external wastegate along with the turbo for thsi to fit****

Also

this turbo is quite small

Yeah that turbo is def on the small side. Looks like a straight T3 with a .42 compressor. Most of the T3 compressor wheels dont flow enough for our "large" 2.4L 4cyl. At one time I actually did look at a T3 Super 60 and based off the compressor maps it would prob be good until 8-10 psi. Response wise itd be near isntant boost - prob full boost by 2600-2800rpm. Max power potential would prob be in the low-mid 200's, but for a auto-x car or anyone wanting super quick response but fairly low power itd be nice. Keep in mind this was all based off theoretical data (compressor map), and I dont think anyone's actually tried it.

Most of the ones I've looked at are .50 compressor. 48 turbine. I thought that would work nicely. I gotta sell my current one first though and then decide if I want internal or external waategate.

External is the way to go man. Internal is prone to boost creep. From my experience at least. I had a .60 trim .82 A/r and I made great power on it. You can get a good precission turbo for a good price through dezod.
