keep the stock ecu and injectors in, take out the spring in the wastegate if you want to make sure that you will not go into boost at all. Swap everything back with you get in the parking lot of the tuner.

if u get a good base map, ull be fine. ive been back and forth as far as getting my trims right, and after months of tryin, i finally got it right. make sure ur tuner KNOWS the tc. the guy that tuned my car made great power and i have a nice steady curve, but my maf voltages were way too high and i had to get em in check. my tuner made changes to the maf map, but not the correct changes to get my trims in check. other than that, make sure u bring 2 sets of plugs with you (just to be safe). fixing ur car on the dyno can be very costly.
most importantly, make sure u go thru ur car with a fine tooth comb!
1.) no boost leaks
2.) no oil leaks
3.) good tires
4.) 2 sets of extra plugs
5.) full tank of gas

im sure theres alot more that im missing but these are prolly some of the most important things to check.

curious to know what taking the spring out of the wastegate would do if you had all ur vac lines hooked up, turbo kit installed on stock injectors and ecu. What would taking it out do?

Gettin tunes at powerhouse. Gotta reschedule though cus I got called into work still need a couple of barb fitttings for bov/wg and vac lines. Also, I need a rubber isolater (the thing that goes between the intake and and motor mount) anyone know a store that would carry them? Maybe napa or autozone?

Thats all minor stuff. Ive never heard of powerhouse. Where r they out of?

Sebby, honestly it doesnt do anything. I think it would mainly damage the turbo over time. I accidentally forgot to put a spring in my wg a few months ago and the car ran fine. It just wont make ne boost being that the wg would open right away

R u goin on a base map? If u are, just as a precaution, id have someone look over ur map and make sure everything looks decent. The base map that i originally got was good, but i came to find out that my maf voltages were way too high in closed loop. Special thanks to paul on that. Plus i had to toy around w injector response time a bit. Like i said, my tuner made good power l, but closed loop tuning is tricky with our cars. Thats why i said u gotta make sure that ur tuner is familiar with our cars.
