turbo manifold cracked
I yesterday notice that there’s a crack on my zpi turbo manifold. What should I do? I can't remove the manifold this week because it's my daily driver. It will have to wait several weeks to fix it. Do you guys think it's safe to drive the car like this? Or should I fix it right away? Does anyone have had this problem with there zpi manifolds? Do you think zpi warranty there manifolds?

Re: turbo manifold cracked
You can try to have them warranty it, but you'll probably have a long wait ahead. Easier to just take it and have it re-welded. A manifold should never crack if it's welded right or cast... You'll want to fix that ASAP....

I've had a crack in our manifold before. It slightly effects the performance of your kit, but it will not harm your car. it's not something that you need to HURY and get fixed or your car will fry. Let's just put it this way.....I found out my manifold was cracked right before I raced a Supercharged GTP......TWICE! LOL. I drove the car home, called up Kenny, shipped the mani to him, they welded it, and overnighted it back to me. That' Simple. Don't panic bro, there will be no hold time on a simple small job as welding your manifold and sending it back to you. Should be free of charge as well, as ZPI stands behind EVERY single part that comes out of that shop. If you still don't want to wait, you can take it to your local mechanic who can do a quick patchup weld on it, and you are good to go. You can continue to drive the car in the mean time. Monitor your gagues for any changes, and don't be beating on it still. Baby her till you get it fixed. ZPI's manifolds come from Full Race I believe. They are not welded in house, but they will fix all parts in house, should you have a trouble with something.
However.....when you get it fixed, you might want to get it re-thermal coated as you don't want to look at the bandaid weld and the rest is thermal coated when you pop the hood to show off. Just depends on your preference.

They'll definitely take care of it, however if you don't want to wait however log it may take them to perform the fix + the shipping time, just take it to a local welded and have it fixed.
Rhythm: I've never heard of a Full Race manifold cracking... we use them here all the time on the Hondas.. I've used 2 so far on different cars... But who knows.. hope his prob gets fixed, either way

That's possible. I do know that at some point, ZPI contracted Full Race to produce their manifolds. You should see the Equal Length tubular TWIN-Wastegate port manifold that they did for ZPI.....oh my god that thing is beautiful.
But anyhow, don't stress it, it's a pretty quick fix on the crack.

the few manifolds we have seen cracked our from a exhaust leak that leads to a warped header plate. Either way we warranty these with out question. Ship it to us we will fix it and overnigt it the day we get it.
Either way you should check for leaks and make sure it is fixed to assure this does not happen again.
Thanks
