Default turbo powered auto tC

ok, im going ahead and starting my research now...i wont be buying anything else(i have some things) for my tC for proabably at least 3 months, maybe more, but i need anyone that know to ans a few ?s if possible.

I know auto tC's dont have a lot out there specifically for them, but is a turbo too much for the tranny? like does it start slipping and stuff?,and if it does, is there a shift kit/upgrades for it??

i know the auto tC's have a higher final drive, so would a auto benefit more(in terms of highway power and top speed) then a manual?

does anyone offer a turbo kit that fits the auto?

i know the trd has an auto s/c fit kit, but i have heard a few ppl have been having problems with the s/c, and i would probably modify it the day i get it so no need to void that warranty in 2 mins....

thanks for the help guys

The search button on this forum is your friend. There are at least two turbo'd tc's with auto tranny's, and neither have posted any issues with them.

zpi stage 0 and dezod are the two that first come to mind.

Where at in WV are you?

Anyways. Go with Dezod's Auto Kit, hands down.

im in putnam county, if your from WV you know where that is, other wise, its like 50 miles from ohio, kinda souhwestish

yeah, i was looking kinda hard at the dezod kit...but im not a good tuner myself, and there is no way in h*ll there is a dyno/tuning shop anywhere within like 1000 miles of here

P.>s, thinks for the ZPI warning, read the post about those problems too....so i'm not sure now...i was going to go turbo only, but the tunning is making me a little hesitant...i'm trying to learn a little from peteyd's saga, and reading the post on the tC's fuel management system...but a lot of this is over my 18yr old head, henceforth my caution, as this is my only ride, at least for a few years

ya peteyd is a local guy here in houston. bought one of the first zpi stage 0 kits ever made. he couldnt get anyone in houston to tune it right. he ended up flying kenny himself in and he tuned it. thats just too much trouble for me. buy something that already comes pre tuned for our motors and transmissions.

318_tc has been our auto turbo star. He was the beta tester for our auto kit, and he is loving it to death. He had a small exhaust leak when he did his 1st dyno. He has that squared away and now is ready to rumble. Let me know if I can be of any more help.

I can't wait to turbo my auto! I heard of some project tc being auto turbocharged in the area. It has said that the tC has some amazing capabilities even for an auto.
