go to turbochargers.com and tell them you need your 16G with the External wastegate option rebuilt. probably the most affordable way to go and I have heard they do a really good job.

if you were ever planning on upgrading go with this one which will work with the ZPI kit

they have 16G's on the site if you want to stay with the regular set up. I say you should upgrade and have a lot more fun!!!

turbochargers.com will be your best bet, they were once affiliated with zpi and they rebuild turbos.. or you can google about turbo rebuild

I don't think they had anything to do with ZPI. They were around before ZPI.

I spoke with Paul from Dezod and he said that the Evo III 16g turbo is: "knock-off crap from China and wasn't even made from Mitsubishi" So now I'm in a predicament.. I have a discontinued turbo kit with no direct replacement for a turbo This whole situation's giving me an ulcer... Help...

did you try turbochargers.com? you can still have that turbo built even if its a knock off and im pretty sure you can fit a new and better turbo with you setup with some modifications..its really not the end of the world for you.. just keep your mind open

That turbo was a knock off of a stock EVO 3 turbo... It was made to be a direct replacement and you can buy a real Mitsubishi turbo and it will fit just like your turbo does. ZPI actually switched to real Mitsubishi turbos towards the end. I have a replacement turbo right now and it fit perfectly. Just buy a new turbo and if it still has the internal gate, weld it shut and remove the actuator. In the end all you need is a turbo that is made to fit a stock DSM (turbo eclipse) and you will be fine. I would just buy mikescion's turbo to make things even easier if you do not want to upgrade.
