Are there any tips or spots anybody would like to comment on? Stating what should be or shouldn't be done if they did add this engine? There is always a weakest point somewhere. Maybe with the gearing or compression ratio?

Last I checked, only his Wife has a tC. That was a very long time ago. But if they had a "shop" car, they would have said so by now.

true but if a 2.0 fits and they are similar to a 2.5 you know it would be able to get swapped. i helped a buddy swap a 2.5 in his wrx after he popped it. it wasnt a bad swap though.

maybe in another few months there will be an update - i guess its too early for such. It would be great if the guys at the NYC auto show would have more info - but I am going to doubt it. We shall see on friday

i personally think this car is gonna tank...not tryna be the negative one here but...c'mon...just the idea of a subaru power plant in a toyota as a "low budget" vehicle makes me scared of the outcome...id rather see them stick with the 2azfe and strengthen the internals and vertically mount that bad boy in a lighter body and make it rwd...if they do that then they will kill the competition

This isn't a surprise. Its been in damn near every article written speculating about the car. That the Toyota would not be sold in the U.S.
Either way, I won't be purchasing it. After my tC goes kaboom, I'll be purchasing something... big muscle power... Maybe a new GTO or Challenger or something to that affect.
Toyota's largest contribution to the mix will be product planning and quality control. The Toyota model, still to be named, will most like be sold exclusively in Japan, while the Subaru-badged model will be marketed worldwide.
