Let me know how the Phantom Grip LSD works out for you... I've heard mixed reviews!

How is the project coming? Rhythmnsmoke I believe so. He will be running a low boost setting untill he builds the motor is what I gathered.

Interesting. How efficient/effective is a big turbo at low boost?

He could be well below the effiency of that turbo at low boost levels. I believe the turbo is a little on the large side but oh well. It will be fun to see if this is a DYNO killer or a STREET car you know?

Well!! Let me go over this again. I will build my engine soon but before we want to know how much we can get out of the stock engine. For those of you that thinks that a GT35R it's to big.... The fastest Scion TC that ever record a race is the one at ScionSpeed and they are using a GT35R at 17-18psi on a stock engine pulling over 400 whp. I did my homework and I try to buy what I thougth was best for my car based on my research. Let's see how it works and I bet It would be one of the fastest!!!! Thanks to all.....

Yeah at 17-18psi the turbo is right where it likes to be. I am just worried that on safe boost levels of 10psi MAX the turbo will have issues. Like I said we will all have to wait and see. SO far I am very impressed with the overall kit.

Yeah, well that ScionSpeed car was a dyno queen for about 5 minutes...the engine blew on the dyno. Those peeps at SS also ____ed a lot of people off. If you do plan on running 17-18psi, you will be building the engine. The stock motor will likely give out around 12-14psi.

Good luck and keep us posted.

are you going to put a metal headgasket ? If this was my build I would put a metal HG and some ARP head studs , I am sure that will be the first to go if u have a good tune .

The fibula? I would have went with a more "vital" part.

No offense, but you didn't do your homework homie. Either that, or you were using the wrong text book..

i just put my phantom grip in .....and i will agree that getting the tranny apart is a pain in the @ss, I didnt have to machine my spider gears to make the unit fit ... i dont know why you would have to do that with yours. the clearances were comepletly within spec on my install.

Why did you decide to go with phantom grip LSD instead of TRD/Quaife LSD? Besides the price difference!

Lucky you canrollya . It must be a difference on the tranny. What year it's your TC? As you can see in the pic's below. Mine does not fit at all and thats why I cut those parts as I read on the instructions. After all I think it worth the money I pay for it. It's been working great. I can't compare with a LSD because I don't have one but I'm happy with the PG and I can't imagine how it would be without it! :D

I didn't compare myself with nobody. I just use them as an example and whether you guys like them or not it's not my problem and they are still the fastest. Anyway I live on PR and the faster TC here it's the Jotech one making12.9 1/4 mile and 389whp at 16 psi on stock internals with a turbo similar to mine. I wish you guys luck with your set ups and keep giving me your opinions. It's fun to see how people that doesn't know what they talk about post some stupid arguments here and I learn with the guys that really know about this issues . Thanks to all...
