Hah! I'm sure as long as you don't hit boost you should be okay. I have summer tires on right now and its snowing right now in PA. Just got home from work, and ehh it wasn't so bad.. only had trouble on turns but a little bit of gas and it swung around just fine. I really should get all season/snow tires though...

if you can afford to sc or turbo your tc, and you live where the white powder flies often ( like we do ); then you can afford a good set of winter ( actual snow ) tires. We put some on last winter, and considering our set up, front wheel drive ( a beneift with narrow tires, not the wider stuff on some of these lighter cars ), and the fact we had over 100" of snow last year--our tc did pretty well ( but in real deep snows; we left it in the garage and took our suv ). Our daughter has an 08 tc, and the stock rubber is "ok" in snow. We'd prefer to give her some extra 'security', so we just gave her our snowies to help out since we will be relocating to SC by Feb and wont need them anymore ( yeee haa ).
Good winter tires will not only help you start in snow, but also give better control while cornering/braking. Much better then the all season rubber they come with. If you live with lower amounts of snow and dont go with winter tires, then just watch your driving and you should be ok.
Just wanted to put in my .02; have to go out and shovel again now....

the turbo is only going to effect your driving in the snow when moving away from a stop or accelerating, where the increase in power and decrease in traction makes it easier to spin the tires. braking should be the same, and turning should be to so long as your not applying heavy throttle input through the turns.

if your just smooth and easy on your throttle input and clutch work, shouldn't have too many problems getting down the road.

other mods that will effect your handling in snow are: tires, suspension and LSD. lowered suspension reduced ground and tire clearance so it can be easier to get stuck or fill up the wheel wells and hurt handling.

i have a supercharger, LSD, and new all season tires, and driving around today in the sleet, it was amazing how well the car would just bite down on the road pull it forward. the supercharger could overwhelm the tires, but the car would still stay on track, and reducing he pedal position a tiny bit would get it to hook up again.

i'd also suggest the LSD. Dont have it yet; but can say that even with the sc, traction on dry roads is very limited; dump even more hp then that, and all the hp on the dyno wont mean a thing if you cant accelerate from a stop. And from what i've read since they came out, the lsd is a big plus in all forms of wet pavement.
I know that before we put on the pulley and some more mods; the lsd would be next.

agreed when i was boosted all i did was stay in vacuum its really not cool to hit boost all the time its fun but then u see the gas start to drop and then when u hear road debris u think parts are flying.....stay in vac this winter season save your self the tires u wouldnt wanna destroy all seasons by boosting in snow thinking your going to get anywhere......

haha for my winter cars i used both my eclipses both boosted beyond stock and i have no problem with drivability, i just drive those as winter cars because they need to be driven more often and if ima have a accident in snow id rather thos pos cars take the hit cuz they are track cars so i dont car bout their looks

as for java.....give him mods status hes cool people, everyone here likes him

put chains on the REAR wheels. Cause we all know the TC is a rear wheel drive car.... someone has to remember that car.
