It is an out let and thats very BAD to put a filter on there. You need to get an oil catch can if that crank case vent isnt routed back into the intake pipe

Todd - you sly dog you.... =) Fly me over there to help redesign the rev.2 basik.

cory - im loving the power of course! Traction.... my bfg g-force sports are actually holding up really well than again I dont just mash the pedal out of nowhere you have to have some throttle control but yeah 2nd gear has some hop/torque steer

I dont know why everyone is so stuck on the damn breather. I would route it in the intake only problem with that is TurboToyotas kit does not have the option to do that. You would need to get a nipple tapped into your new intake.

Plans going forward are to get a catch can and vent the top of the can. For now I put the breather. Guess i thought it could hold back a little oil. Also the air that used to route back into the intake is now venting to atmosphere which is bad because we run MAF so dumb thought that the breather could make it a little harder for the air to release.

Any which way you look at the breather, it helped make 314hp so WHO CARES! hahaha

Hey Kydog could you tell me the specs on ur turbo. This thread really got poplar n u missed my question in here. I was just trying to compare ur turbo to mine to get an ball park estimate of what i will have on 10psi with a t3/t4 57trim.. thank

Greddy - first off you cant compare numbers not even "estimate" between two states, dynos, cars, etc etc etc.

The turbo, im not sure on any full specs as t3/t4's are all weird hybrids from the 60's but it is a Garrett t3/t4 57trim .60ar with a smaller compressor housing than normal. I would have to ask Todd exactly what cover is on it.

GL but dont go into your tune planning your figures off anyone else's dyno.

Unfortunately (actually FORTUNATELY!) Todd spends alot more time building kits then updateing his website!

There is another thread here:
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...331&highlight=
But this ones got more results.

Just shoot Todd an email linked from his website or PM him here.

His SL name is TurboToyotas.
Email is Todd@WhyIndustries.com

He is bringing the kit back to the public just contact him on here or his email posted two posts above this one.

His website also has a phone number on it, dont hesitate to leave a voice message.

Lastly, when ordering make sure you refer "Kyle's (Kydog) basik kit"

Thanks

DYNO- went well. Shawn said the 08 tc needs tuned completely different than other years. I also have a bad stumble at idle and after boosting and coming to a quick stop the car will stall. Going to try to recirc the bov and see what happens. Other than that the car ran healthy on the dyno and made power!

More details beyond the basik kit: Car is an 08 spec tc, AEM FIC for management, running 10psi, 91oct cali pump gas, custom 2.5" catback, agency power crank pulley

Another option on how to install a Vacuum Block. ** Requires dremel **

My car does that same stumble and stalling thing yours does...I found a way to avoid it though...when you come to a stop just ride the gear your in out till the RPM's drop down to about 1200 then you can push in the clutch and the idle will come back down smoothly...basically if you jsut help the RPM's come down slowly you won't stall.

I wasnt tryin to figure it. B/c your numbers could be way different on my by different factors such as manifold. Im gonna be running a log and you have an equal lenth. that right there is a big difference. I think my spool will be different from you. But I guess we pretty much got the same size turbo(mine .63 turbine/.50 compressor). I just wanted a ball park estimate of what I would be close to, thats all. Not saying ok ur turbo is this size mine is this one and think we are gonna have the exact same power. Just an estimate.

I mean...it can really be mounted where ever you see fit..it doesn't matter...just as long as it's T'd into a good source of vacuum.
