haha yay my thread is becoming an off-topic wonderland!!

okay so i just got home from driving the tC back from my fraternity's chapter meeting.. well, i found a way i can enjoy a little boost without bogging my engine. for some reason this drive back just ended up being perfect. i was never at WOT; i just gradually increased my throttle position as i accelerated.. and YES i know i was probably running at 14.7 afr partial throttle boost but you know what.. it was a rare occasion and let me tell you... i felt the boost this time.

like... back in the seat boost. and it was great because i know that was far from what i'll be at when the car has a really good fuel map and the rest of the little issues are shored up. i just had to share; it was a good experience.

pics will be up soon. videos will have to wait until the car is 99.9% perfect.

I hope you dont mind off topics ruining your thread, we could always take this elsewhere (vegas thread ) With the vegas guys posting in here I kinda feel its cool to do it here too haha.

Nice that you felt some boost, so when is the tune? Gotta get that afr lower man, but for one time it should be cool.. And is that on ola's map, did you make changes yet?

no off-topic is fine with me haha.. makes the thread longer and also ensures one of you guys will be looking if i ever need help.

as for the tune, i dunno when i'll be getting it. next few weeks i imagine. i'm running ola's map right now. i haven't changed anything b/c i have yet to research the specifics of what doing so would do in terms of AFR, timing, etc. etc. i think my timings way off, though.. my idle sounds like absolute hog $hit.. rpms bouncing between 500-800rpms and sounds like a diesel.

^^ he can tune partial throttle with FIC, no need for black box, I think we can too with the blue with the pressure sensor

thats the same exact issue i have! is it a timing thing? that's what i thought too but i lowered it a bit and NOTHING.

..............i should lower it a bit at idle though. haha im so stupid.

i wish i had gone AEM... if i wanted to do that now, it would cost way too much.. 400 for the unit + 300 for the harness.. no thanks lol.

let me know if you fix the idle problem, and what fixed it. it's so bad that i'm embarrassed to idle the car when people are around haha

i got over that because i can offset it by boosting away...

i retarded the timing a bit, 2 percent....and it steadied.

it got a hell of alot rougher, but steadied. i need to start doing logs and actually reading them haha

Yeah, i need to get you those wires so you can log your wideband on the f/ic. it's GREAT!

Todd...I'm actually gonna be in AZ sometime in april, but you said your guy was like $200 an hour or some crap like that! a little rich for my blood. Maybe you could hook us up with a deal? maybe if aen and I came up together?
Oh, and is that shop even open on the weekend? what shop is it?
